Alan Ritchson says Hollywood action space needs more everyday protagonists like Indiana Jones who was a professor not just military or ex-military heroes. Alan Ritchson: One thing I'm trying to do is hark back to the '90s, when you would get protagonists like Indiana Jones, who was a professor and an archaeologist. This was not a government-trained CIA operative. My production company has deals split across town, and we're working hand in hand with a lot of studios to develop the future action space. Weirdly across the board, everybody is making content where the main character is former military or current military. I want to tell stories with protagonists who are more on their heels, less invincible, and less trained. It'll create a whole new sea of content where audiences can see themselves on screen. We need stories where protagonists are everyday people like plumbers or electricians caught up in extraordinary circumstances, but not necessarily prepared for it. Maria Sten: Totally agree. Matt Damon reveals how they filmed the giants scene in The Odyssey, says his double was a female stunt performer with the greatest arms he’s ever seen Matt Damon: When we did the forced perspective stuff of the Laestrygonians… there were these kind of stuntmen who were all seven feet. And then they got stuntmen who were under five feet, and so my double was a woman, a female stunt performer who had the greatest arms I’ve ever seen. And when she came into the catering tent, it was the first time I met her, I went up and I hugged her and I thanked her for all the work she’d put in. And so there are those shots in the movie where you see these giants looming over me. It was almost a hundred percent my arms in the movie.

The role of a lifetime.” On the physical transformation: Interviewer: “From the time you found out that you were playing this role to the first day of rolling frame… how much time did you have?” Matt Damon: “Six months.” Interviewer: “How much weight did you have to lose or gain?” Matt Damon: “It was lose. He didn’t say specifically. He said, ‘I just want him to look lean and strong, like somebody who’s a veteran of the Trojan War and can handle himself.’ It just kind of took over my life.” “Every single day… it felt more like an athlete’s regimen. Everything’s weighed. Everything’s very, very intentional.” On the diet change: Interviewer: “I heard that you stopped eating gluten?” Matt Damon : “Yeah it turned out I didn’t know gluten’s in everything rice, potatoes, bread, pasta… all the stuff that we love. Ben Affleck says the best work of his career is the commentary he recorded for Armageddon Ben Affleck: So this disc, um, the... the Criterion. Nicholas Hoult reveals he was driving when he heard on the radio that Robert Pattinson had landed the Batman role, even though his own screen test was scheduled for the following weekend Nicholas Hoult: You know, cause there's plenty of times that people go and audition for things and you never hear about it, you never know, and it's like that's happening all the time. But now there's this weird thing where it's like and it's only public for people that care, most people day-to-day don't care about this stuff, but like it feels weird then, cause you're like, "Oh..." It's one thing to have your failures, it's another thing to have them like publicly broadcast seemingly to everyone. Josh Horowitz: Not to mention it's happening like almost in real time. It's like these things like leak out and you're like, "He's meeting on Friday," and it's like, "What? You're in the middle of it!" I can only imagine... Nicholas Hoult: That definitely adds an element of drama to it, I suppose. But that's also interesting. I mean, I remember, you know, a week before we did the Batman test, I was driving in my car and I had the radio on, and they were talking on the radio about how Rob was going to be the new Batman. And I was like, "Well... it's not confirmed yet!" I was like, "I'm auditioning next weekend! Give me a chance!"

Zendaya reveals when she first met Tom Holland, she was worried she would be too tall for the role of MJ Tom Holland: I don't know, like, I was very nervous about the casting process, and then knowing that as soon as I met you, I knew that I would be friends with you. It was screen tests, whereas yours was really funny. Jacob Batalon: Right, right, right, right. But then yours was... I mean, I feel like when we watched yours, it was pretty clear that you were really meant for the part. Zendaya: I guess when I first met you, like I said, I was worried that I was going to be too tall for the role. I thought that like, "I'm just going to look ridiculous." But then there were chairs! Tom Holland: There were chairs, yeah. Zendaya: Yeah. Tom Holland: I think they probably knew that you were taller than me, though. Zendaya: I mean, who knows? No, I mean, I didn't like, tell them my height, you know? So it's not like I was like, "Hey, I'm Zendaya, I'm 5'10"," you know? It's like, I just came in and I was like, "Oh..." Jacob Batalon: Right. Zendaya: You know? But it ended up working out. And I think our height difference is one of the cool things about Peter and MJ. Tom Holland: I love it, yeah.

Tom Holland reveals his biggest regret in life is giving up dancing after training 6 hours a day for 3 years Tom Holland: You know what I regret most in life is when I was in Billy Elliot when I was a kid, I was dancing every day for 6 hours for about 3 years, and I got to such a high level, and then I just gave up. And I quit dancing. So, I dance if I'm in a club, but I don't really go to dance classes anymore, so my biggest regret is giving up dancing. Q: Can you do, like, club-style dancing, or do you do kind of ballet? Tom Holland: I just do bar work. (Laughter) Tom Holland: Yeah. No, no, I mean I can dance, yeah. I like tap dancing. Tom Holland admits there are more accents in Britain than any other country but Jon Bernthal doesn't think so Tom Holland: The accent for me, having an American accent is almost like a disguise. The moment that I start speaking with an English accent, I feel like I go into like press mode, and it feels like a kind of representation of who I am as a person. But I would love to explore some more British accents, because as an island we have some of the most interesting, unique, and fun accents… I think there’s more accents in Britain than any other country.
