The reason why the Muslim world has not progressed and kept up with time is because of the mindset like Mehdi Hassan is displaying. When faced with a tough question of why the child marriage is so rampant in Muslim countries?? Why Muslim women don’t have equal rights in all Muslim countries? Instead of doing introspection and accepting the problem. He resorted to typical deflection, west bashing , pathetic whataboutism and gaslighting tactics. The dude has written a book “ how to win any argument.” He suffers from a severe case of “ Brown man inferiority complex syndrome “ . You only progress when you accept the problems and rectify it. Otherwise your progress stalls. Muslims must come to this reckoning and let go of this eternal victim hood mindset. He chose to live in the west instead of a Muslim country. Because he himself knows that the west is better and more prosperous because of its progressive values. Yet because of his brown man complex it’s too difficult for his inflated ego to accept it.

Domestic violence , it’s so common in Pakistan neither men consider it wrong, nor women think it’s such a big deal. ( after all it’s part of Deen beauty of Islam). I’m not sure what’s worse. Man beating his wife in a public place or the person who is condemning his behavior 1/3

The reality of religion has been exposed in it’s full glory. I don’t understand why Pakistani people are so shocked 🤔??? This is exactly what says in the religious texts. This is what I have been saying for years. If all mullahs are saying the same misogynistic nonsense you have to blame the text which they are reading. Moderate Muslims and Muslim apologists have scapegoated Mullahs in an attempt to protect their religion/texts for such a long time . It’s not going to work anymore . These mullahs utter same nonsense , they are not making it up. It’s exactly what is written in the “Holy books.” This is real Islam.

I am not sure what he means by “Mujhay aj tak kabhi pyar nahi mila”? I understand that he is a small town guy. He is not very refined and probably not good with his words. He is a married man and father of three children . I hope I am wrong but here it seems like he is openly expressing his desire for Sacha pyar” that he has no gotten .🙄🤦🏽♀️ I hope I am wrong .

These clips are deeply unsettling. His behavior doesn’t come across as playful or charismatic it feels invasive, entitled, and frankly unhinged. What stands out even more is the visible discomfort of his female co-stars. You can see it in their body language, the forced laughter, the awkward deflections, the flustered reactions. That wasn’t chemistry ,it was women navigating an uncomfortable situation in real time, trying to stay professional in an environment that didn’t prioritize their comfort. It’s important to remember that many of these clips are from before the #MeToo movement, a time when this kind of behavior was routinely brushed off as humor or “just his personality.” Men, especially those in positions of power, were often allowed to make below the belt, misogynistic, and sexist remarks without real accountability. The #MeToo movement didn’t just expose individual men ,it fundamentally shifted the cultural lens. It gave women the language, support, and collective power to call out behavior that had long been normalized. What was once dismissed as “harmless joking” is now more accurately recognized as inappropriate, disrespectful, and, in many cases, predatory. Watching these clips now, through a post-#MeToo perspective, makes the imbalance of power and the normalization of male entitlement painfully clear. It’s not that the behavior suddenly became wrong it always was. The difference is that NOW men just can’t get away with it, and women are no longer expected to quietly endure it. Madiha Syed 4/2/26

Zakir Naik is calling my innocent friend Kafir and Murtid for simply asking him a logical question . Threatening him openly. Despite knowing very well what these words mean in an extremist, fanatical Pakistani society. Where brainwashed mobs lynch people within a blink of an eye. I declare him a monster 👹 for his reckless but very thoughtful approach. What a moron.

This video from Algeria 🇩🇿 made me really sad . Women once free now cloaked and hidden under the Burqas. I grew up in Algeria during the 1980s. It had been a French colony, and many aspects of French culture remained part of everyday life. Society felt relatively open and tolerant, with a blend of Islamic traditions and Western influences. Many Muslim women wore skirts and other modern clothing, and there was a greater sense of social freedom. After the 1979 Iranian Revolution, the influence of Iran’s clerical regime spread across parts of the Muslim world. At the same time, Saudi Arabia was exporting its Wahhabi interpretation of Islam through religious institutions, funding, and missionary efforts. Together, these ideological currents reshaped religious discourse in many countries. Nations such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt experienced a growing wave of religious conservatism. In many places, women’s modern attire gradually gave way to the hijab, niqab, or burqa, depending on local customs. Religious minorities often faced increasing intolerance, and societies became more polarized. It was during this broader wave of Islamist radicalization that figures such as Osama bin Laden joined the Afghan mujahideen in the fight against the Soviet Union. The Muslim world has paid a heavy price for the spread of extremist ideologies. Moderate Muslims have a vital role to play in challenging radicalism and resisting those who seek to replace pluralism, tolerance, and individual freedoms with authoritarian religious rule.

It’s a mental disorder ’ پورے پاکستان کو علاج یا تھیراپی کی ضرورت ہے ۔
