Haley and I are so lucky to share that we’ll be welcoming our second baby into the world on October 1st. Before baby number two arrives, I want to take a moment to reflect on the kind of mother Haley has become since Gracie came into our lives 16 months ago. When we first started dating, I knew pretty quickly she was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. It was the way she cared so deeply for my friends, my family, and for me. That kind of love is rare. Even then, I had no idea how much more my love and admiration for her would grow once I saw her become a mom. Every day, she gives her whole heart to our daughter and our family. The love she shows is something I didn’t even know was possible. She has a quiet strength, an unbelievable amount of patience, and a kind of thoughtfulness that I could only hope for in a partner. As we get ready to welcome our second child, I’ve been thinking about everything she’s given. She sacrifices her body through each pregnancy. She gives up her time, her sleep, and so many of her own wants to make sure our family is cared for. Haley, you are the most selfless person I’ve ever known. I feel like the luckiest man alive to share this life with you. I love you so much and promise to never stream or work on Mother’s Day ever again. Or at least until you’re sick of me and don’t care what the hell I do. Gracie, Gary, Murphy and I love you forever. Happy Mother’s Day.
