During the Artemis II mission, astronauts had a fun time playing around with water in the weightlessness of space. Artemis II was Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy R. Hansen's first spaceflight — so his crewmates taught him a lot about the physics of water in space.

Orion’s crew and service module have separated. The crew module continues on its path towards Earth while the service module will harmlessly burn up in Earth’s atmosphere over the Pacific Ocean. The Artemis II return trajectory is designed to ensure any remaining debris does not pose a hazard to land, people, or shipping lanes.

"We will always choose each other." Mission control has reacquired signal with the Artemis II crew after the mission’s planned loss of signal. Our astronauts are once again using the Deep Space Network to keep conversation and science data flowing between space and Earth.

Since everyone always asks... 🤔 The universal waste management system aboard the Orion spacecraft is a compact, 5-cubic-foot toilet designed for microgravity. Solid waste is stored in odor-controlled canisters, while pre-treated urine is vented overboard daily.
