Here's everything #Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz had to say about the job rumors circulating on social media. "Last week, people were tired of me because I couldn't win the big game. People had me meeting with my team and telling them that I was going to another school. None of which were true. Now, this week, it's different story because we scored the second-most points in the SEC this year...All of this stuff is just a distraction."

#Mizzou HC Eli Drinkwitz says the old style of thinking, as far as having 85 scholarships and recruiting four deep at each position and moving up guys, once another leaves is in the past. Drink says this is a 6-month free agent business. He tells Tiger Twitter fans: "it's really gonna be okay...We value production over potential."

It's COLD out here in Missouri, folks! #Mizzou softball and other teams play in warm-weather tournaments on the weekend and then come home and can't practice on dirt in February. "My No. 1 focus is to shout from the rooftops that they need to move the softball season back."

One of the most interesting parts of #Mizzou HC Eli Drinkwitz's contract extension, which AD Laird Veatch took us through today, is the automatic extensions. Any season the Tigers win 8 games, Drinkwitz will have another year added to his contract + a $200,000 bump in salary.

Long, but worth a listen: #Mizzou HC Eli Drinkwitz talks about the state of college football, right now, as it relates to the College Sports Commission Agreement (which still hasn't been signed). "I understand the national sentiment because of the salary ranges of head coaches that it feels like we're complaining...but we're trying to sound warning bells...There's a warning that the system that we're in is really sick right now. College football is sick...there's showing signs of this thing really cracking moving forward."

#Mizzou HC Dennis Gates opened up his press conference, today, by touching on the evolving eligibility rules in college hoops. "I'm always for student-athletes, no matter nontraditional or traditional." This comes after Charles Bediako (a former Alabama player, who signed a two-way contract with the Spurs) sued the NCAA for denying his request for eligibility. This one's long, but it's worth a listen, as Coach Gates dives into the importance of having an open mind & if its an avenue that he'd ever explore ⬇️

#Mizzou HC Eli Drinkwitz was asked today if there's anything college football, as a whole, can do to get teams to WANT to compete in bowl games again ⬇️ This comes as we've seen multiple programs opt out of bowl games, this year. "I can't speak to other people's programs...We got to change the calendar. I think the calendar is driving this whole decision making and issues. You know, we're not able to finish the competitive playing season before players, coaches, administrations have to make hard decisions."

Here's #Mizzou HC Eli Drinkwitz with more on his contract extension & what went into the timing of it all ⤵️ "This place has been nothing but great to me...We weren't done yet...We were going out the tunnel against OU and there were some fans yelling about me, not going to be there and it pissed me off....It bothered me because it was a distraction to our team." Said he sent AD Laird Veatch a text right after that game and said let's get it done.

#Mizzou women’s hoops gains a commitment from Dowling Catholic’s Katie Muller in the Class of 2027. The guard will be joining her sister, Ellie, who is going to be a freshman with the team this year.
