Cambodia remains fully committed to peace and strictly upholds the ceasefire agreement. Yet, today's incidents in Banteay Meanchey province, where Cambodian villagers, monks, etc, were injured by slingshots and tear gas, show repeated violations that undermine the ceasefire agreement. The latest update that the video already edited, there have been over 20 people injured. Our sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected. We call on the international community to stand with Cambodia in ensuring peace, justice, and the protection of our people.

US CORRESPONDENT MICHAEL ALFARO EXPOSES THAILAND’S CONTINUED HARASSMENT AND ATTACKS TOWARDS CAMBODIA US Correspondent at the White House Michael B. Alfaro reported live at the border of Cambodia and Thailand during his current visit in Cambodia. Drenched in the pouring rain, Alfaro showed the barbed wires and dump of tires that Thai army barricaded in the villages inside the Cambodian territory. Alfaro also showed the miserable plight of the homeless families that are sheltering under makeshift tents soaked in the rain. Alfaro further narrated how the Thai army deceived the 20 Cambodian soldiers on the wake of the implementation of ceasefire (July 29) wherein they were arrested and detained until now. Alfaro strongly narrated how Thailand continued to harass Cambodia by illegally encroaching on Cambodian territory affecting thousands of civilians. Alfaro refutes Thailand’s allegations towards Cambodia on planting new landmines as “a big lie”. Alfaro warned that Thai’s illegal actions are clear insult to President Donald Trump’s initiatives to implement the ceasefire. Alfaro called on the US Senators, officials, all foreign journalists and the rest of the world to intervene and enact on how Thailand has continued to attack a small country like Cambodia thru its troops movement and illegal encroachment on the Cambodian sovereign soil.

The Thai military’s use of LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device) attacks against Cambodian citizens who resisted attempts to use barbed wires and seize Cambodian land is an act of violence! On August 25, 2025, Long Range Acoustic Device were blasted at high volume when Cambodian citizens gathered to block and push back Thai soldiers who brought barbed wires to encircle and seize Cambodian land. The Thai military’s use of these deafening sound attacks against innocent Cambodian citizens is regarded as a form of violence, which in fact provides Cambodia with a legal advantage. Indeed, the act of fencing off land belonging to Cambodian citizens is a violation of international law — an act of aggression — because it was carried out by armed forces. Using LRAD attacks against lawful individuals is even more unlawful, violating the landowners’ rights, which give them the legal authority to self-defense and to take lawful countermeasures. Furthermore, such sound assaults can negatively affect public health — especially children, the elderly, people with weak health conditions, those with hearing problems, and particularly pregnant women and mothers recovering from childbirth.
