Surprised to hear the outrageous things said about Biju Babu by a BJP MP. I don’t think he knows that Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had given him an office next to his in Delhi while he was still Chief Minister of #Odisha to help with strategy during the Chinese conflict and fight the Chinese. I was about 13 years old then, but I remember how furious Biju Babu was with the Chinese attack and how much he did to repel it. I think the MP needs some mental doctor’s attention. #BijuBabu

ଏ ମାଟି ଆମର, ଏ ଖଣି ସମ୍ପଦ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମର। ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଦୁର୍ବଳ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚାଲିଥିବା ଭୟଙ୍କର ଷଡ଼ଯନ୍ତ୍ରକୁ ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀ କଦାପି ବରଦାସ୍ତ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ୨୦୦୦ ମସିହାରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆମେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଶାସନର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ନେଲୁ, ସେତେବେଳେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଅର୍ଥନୀତି ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୟନୀୟ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଥିଲା। ଆମକୁ ଓଭରଡ୍ରାଫ୍ଟ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ୁଥିଲା। ୨୦୨୪ରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସରକାର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ହେଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ଆମେ ୫୦ ହଜାର କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କାର ବଳକା ରାଜସ୍ୱ ଛାଡ଼ି ଯାଇଥିଲୁ। ଆମର ଦୃଢ଼ ଆର୍ଥିକ ପରିଚାଳନା ଯୋଗୁଁ ହିଁ ଏହା ସମ୍ଭବ ହୋଇପାରିଥିଲା। ରାଜ୍ୟକୁ ରାଜସ୍ୱ ବଳକା କରିବା ସହିତ ଆମେ ଦ୍ରୁତ ପ୍ରଗତି ଆଣିପାରିଥିଲୁ। ଦାରିଦ୍ର୍ୟ ହ୍ରାସ ପାଇଥିଲା, ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମିର ଉନ୍ନତି ହୋଇଥିଲା ଏବଂ ଅନେକ ଜନକଲ୍ୟାଣକାରୀ ଯୋଜନା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ଦ୍ରୁତ ବିକାଶରେ ଖଣି ଟିକସ ଏକ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଭୂମିକା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆଜି ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଅର୍ଥନୀତି ପୁଣି ବିପଦରେ। ଆପଣମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି, ନିକଟରେ ସଂସଦରେ 'ଖଣି ଏବଂ ଖଣିଜ (ବିକାଶ ଓ ନିୟାମକ) ସଂଶୋଧନ ବିଲ୍' (MMDR Amendment Bill) ପାସ୍ ହୋଇଛି। ଏହା ଓଡ଼ିଶା ତଥା ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀଙ୍କର ଅପୂରଣୀୟ କ୍ଷତି କରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଛି। ଏତେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଏକ ସଂଶୋଧନ ବିଲ୍କୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାର ବିନା କୌଣସି ଆଲୋଚନାରେ ପାସ୍ କରିଦେଲେ। କେବଳ ବିଜେଡି ସାଂସଦମାନେ ହିଁ ରାଜ୍ୟସଭାରେ ଏହାକୁ ଦୃଢ଼ ବିରୋଧ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି ବିଲ୍କୁ ବିରୋଧ କରି ମୁଁ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ମାନ୍ୟବର ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଚିଠି ଲେଖିଛି। ଏକ ସର୍ବଦଳୀୟ ବୈଠକ ଡାକିବାକୁ ଏବଂ ବିଧାନସଭାର ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଅଧିବେଶନ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିବାକୁ ଚିଠିରେ ଅନୁରୋଧ ମଧ୍ୟ କରିଛି। ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଓ ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥ ଆଗରେ କେହି ବଡ଼ ନୁହନ୍ତି। ଦଳମତ ନିର୍ବିଶେଷରେ, ମାଟିର ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥ ପାଇଁ ଆଜି ଆମ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି ହେବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ। ଏହି ସଂଶୋଧିତ ବିଲ୍ ଆମ ଖଣି ସମ୍ପଦ ଉପରେ ଥିବା ଆମ ଅଧିକାରକୁ ଛଡ଼ାଇ ନେଇଛି। ଆପଣମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି, ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ କ୍ରୋମାଇଟ୍, ବକ୍ସାଇଟ୍, ଲୁହାପଥର, କୋଇଲା ଏବଂ ମାଙ୍ଗାନିଜ୍ର ସର୍ବାଧିକ ଭଣ୍ଡାର ରହିଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ନୂଆ ଆଇନ ଏ ସବୁ ଉପରୁ ଆମ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ ହଟାଇ ଦେଇଛି। ଆମ ଲୋକଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ପାଇଁ ଆମେ ଆମ ଖଣିରୁ କାହିଁକି ଟିକସ ଆଦାୟ କରିପାରିବୁ ନାହିଁ? ଆମ ଲୋକ ଧୂଳି-ଧୂଆଁ ସହିବେ, ଅଥଚ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀ ଦରବାର ଆମ ସମ୍ପଦରେ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ ହେବ—ଏହାକୁ ଆମେ କେବେ ବି ସହ୍ୟ କରିବୁ ନାହିଁ। ଦୀର୍ଘ ୨୪ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ମୁଁ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥକୁ ଜଗି ରହିଥିଲି। କେନ୍ଦ୍ରରେ ଯେକୌଣସି ଦଳର ସରକାର ଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଅଧିକାର ଛଡ଼ାଇ ନେବାକୁ କେହି ସାହସ କରିପାରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ। ଆପଣମାନେ ୨୦୨୪ରେ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ଚାହିଁ ନୂଆ ବିଜେପି ସରକାର ଗଠନ କଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଇ ବର୍ଷ ଭିତରେ ସବୁକିଛି ବଦଳିଗଲା। ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଏବେ ପୁଣି କେନ୍ଦ୍ରର ଦୟା ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ। ଆପଣମାନେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରୁ ଲୋକସଭାକୁ ୨୦ ଜଣ ବିଜେପି ସାଂସଦ ପଠାଇଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏ ମାଟିର ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥ ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ହେଲେ ପାଟି ଖୋଲିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ରାଜ୍ୟ ତଥା ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବାରେ ସେମାନେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିଫଳ ହେଲେ। ବିଜୁ ବାବୁ ସବୁବେଳେ ରାଜ୍ୟର ବିକାଶ ପାଇଁ 'ଆର୍ଥିକ ସ୍ୱୟଂଶାସନ' ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଦେଉଥିଲେ। ଏହି ସଂଶୋଧିତ ଆଇନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ରାଜସ୍ୱ ଆୟ ବହୁତ କମିଯିବ। ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ଆମକୁ ହଜାର ହଜାର କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କାର କ୍ଷତି ସହିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ। ଏହି ଅର୍ଥରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ଅନେକ ସ୍କୁଲ, କଲେଜ, ଡାକ୍ତରଖାନା ନିର୍ମାଣ ହୋଇପାରିଥାନ୍ତା; ରାସ୍ତାଘାଟ, ପୋଲ, ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ୍ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମି ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୋଇପାରିଥାନ୍ତା; ନୂଆ ନୂଆ ଜନହିତକର ଯୋଜନା ହୋଇ ଚାଷୀ ଓ ଗରିବ ଲୋକ ଉପକୃତ ହୋଇପାରିଥାନ୍ତେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏବେ ଏତେ ବଡ଼ କ୍ଷତି ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସହିପାରିବ ତ? ଆମର ଆଗାମୀ ପିଢ଼ି ତଥା ଯୁବସମାଜକୁ ଆମେ କ’ଣ ଜବାବ ଦେବା? #GenZ ଙ୍କ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ କ'ଣ ହେବ? ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଦୁର୍ବଳ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚାଲିଥିବା ଏହି ଭୟଙ୍କର ଷଡ଼ଯନ୍ତ୍ରକୁ ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀ କଦାପି ବରଦାସ୍ତ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ଏ ମାଟି ଆମର, ଏ ଖଣି ସମ୍ପଦ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମର। ଆମ ଅଧିକାରର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଲଢ଼ିବି। ଶେଷ ନିଶ୍ୱାସ ଥିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଏବଂ ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀଙ୍କ ହକ୍ ପାଇଁ ମୋର ସଂଗ୍ରାମ ଜାରି ରହିବ। ଏହି ଲଢ଼େଇରେ ଏକଜୁଟ ହୋଇ ସାମିଲ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତ ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀଙ୍କୁ ନିବେଦନ କରୁଛି। #MMDRBill2026 #BJDWithOdisha

ଜନଜାତି ଭାଇଭଉଣୀଙ୍କ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ବନ୍ଧୁ ବିଜେଡି। ବିଜୁ ଜନତା ଦଳର ସରକାରରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିବା ଯୁଗାନ୍ତକାରୀ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଜନଜାତିଙ୍କ ଜୀବନରେ ବୈପ୍ଳବିକ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ଆଣିଛି। ଶଙ୍ଖଭବନରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ବିଶ୍ୱ ଆଦିମ ଜନଜାତି ଦିବସ ପାଳନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇ ସଭିଙ୍କୁ ଶୁଭେଚ୍ଛା ଜଣାଇଲି। ଆଦିବାସୀ ଭାଇଭଉଣୀମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସଂସ୍କୃତିର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ବିଜେଡି ସବୁବେଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ଦୃଢ଼ ଭାବରେ ରହି ଆସିଛି। ବିଜେଡି ସରକାର ସମୟରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିବା 'ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଉନ୍ନୟନ ପରିଷଦ' ଆଦିବାସୀ କଳା ଓ ସଂସ୍କୃତିର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ଥିଲା ଏକ ଅନନ୍ୟ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ। ବିଜେଡି ସରକାରରେ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତକୁ ଜଙ୍ଗଲଜାତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ସଂଗ୍ରହ ଅଧିକାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବା ହେଉ କି ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ହଜାର ହଜାର ହଷ୍ଟେଲ ନିର୍ମାଣ, ଉଚ୍ଚ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ 'ଅନ୍ଵେଷା' କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ, ଜଙ୍ଗଲ ଜମି ଅଧିକାର ଆଦି ଜନଜାତି ଭାଇଭଉଣୀଙ୍କୁ ବିକାଶ ସହ ଯୋଡ଼ି ପାରିଥିଲା। ଜନଜାତି ଭାଇଭଉଣୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଶକ୍ତ କରି ସମ୍ମାନର ସହ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିଜ ମାଟିରେ ବାସ କରିବାର ସୁଯୋଗ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ଥିଲା ବିଜେଡି ସରକାରର ନୀତି। ଜନଜାତି ଭାଇଭଉଣୀମାନଙ୍କ ସଶକ୍ତିକରଣ କେବଳ ଏକ ପ୍ରତିଶ୍ରୁତି ନ ଥିଲା, ବିଜେଡି ସରକାରର ସବୁ ଜନଜାତି ବିକାଶ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଏହା ଥିଲା କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ବିନ୍ଦୁ। ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ୧୬୯ଟି ଜନଜାତି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀକୁ ST ତାଲିକାରେ ସାମିଲ କରିବା ନେଇ ଆମର ଲଢ଼େଇ ଜାରି ରହିବ। ଜନଜାତି ଭାଇଭଉଣୀଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନକୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦେବା ସହ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସଂସ୍କୃତିର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଦିଗରେ ଆସନ୍ତୁ ଦୃଢ଼ତାର ସହ ଆଗକୁ ବଢ଼ିବା। #IndigenousPeoplesDay #BJDWithOdisha

BJP had put special category status in their manifesto as a promise to the people of #Odisha, however, this promise has not been considered for Odisha, whereas special packages, allocating crores of funds have been announced for Andhra Pradesh and Bihar in #Budget2024. Along with this, the demand of Odisha for revision of coal royalty, which has been pending for years with the central government has been rejected, because of which the state will lose thousands of crores of revenue every year. Lots of big promises in different sectors were made to the people of Odisha during the election campaign especially on agriculture, MSME and industry. There is no mention of any promise being fulfilled in this #Budget2024. This is a complete neglect of Odisha and her people. We all know that Odisha faces a number of natural disasters every year, including floods. We had requested for a special package for disaster management. While, similar requests of other states have been considered and they have been granted Special packages for flood protection, the genuine demand of Odisha on disaster management has not been considered. So on both counts whether it is special package or revision of coal royalty, Odisha continues to be neglected by the NDA. Today, the most serious issue being faced by the common public is inflation/price rise, and unemployment. This budget does not have any considerable intervention to address these two major issues. We have been fighting for Justice in the Polavaram issue. Allocating more and more funds for Polavaram without sorting out the genuine grievances of Odisha shows impartiality against Odisha. The NDA government has been at the Centre for more than 10 years now and every budget talks of focus on Eastern India, including Odisha. There has been nothing substantial for Odisha over the years, and this budget has also been a disappointment for us, however, we shall wait for the details. I’m happy to see there is a focus on Tourism for Odisha. I hope it is substantial, and we shall wait for the details to come out. I would say that, along with the people of Odisha, I feel disappointed at the continued neglect of Odisha while the state contributes so much to the country. Leaders of BJP had given many tall promises during poll. But there is nothing for Odisha and for its people.
