The GOP legislature is planning to choke the life out of public education, and you need to know what’s happening. Watch Gov. Cooper's special address on public education.

To connect federal dollars for natural disaster recovery to the outcome of an election is absolutely offensive.

This bill has nothing to do with making women safer, and everything to do with banning their reproductive freedom.

There’s something special about the way the Carolina Hurricanes show up for this community and the way fans show up for them. Just listen to the Rialto Owner Hayes Permar.

We need to embrace innovation, but we have to do it in a way that doesn’t harm North Carolinians. Data centers should bring their own clean power and pay for their own energy, not leave families paying higher electricity bills because of data centers’ energy demands. I’m proud to have eliminated data center tax breaks for energy usage, and now we need to tackle the rest.

Our film industry has built a strong presence in North Carolina, with a talented workforce and communities across our state benefiting from the jobs and investment that productions bring. We need to make sure production companies have the certainty they need to keep choosing North Carolina. I’ll continue working to support this industry and the thousands of North Carolinians who make it possible.

2025 had many memorable moments. In 2026, we will continue the work of building a safer and stronger North Carolina. I look forward to getting back at it in the new year.
