Andhra Pradesh mechanic builds homemade escalator to help wife climb stairs. A 65-year-old mechanic, Satti Siva Narayana Reddy from Arthamuru village in East Godavari district, has designed and built a homemade escalator to help his wife, Satyaveni (58), climb the 21 steps leading to the first floor of their house. He added that the idea had been planned two years ago but was completed recently.

Nashik police arrests 9 people for chasing tourists for 20 kms in a car and assaulting them. As per the complaint filed by the 44-year-old woman, she, her husband, son, daughter, a brother-in-law and two nephews were visiting waterfalls near the dam on Sunday when two youths whistled at her and started eve-teasing her. “When we were heading to change clothes, two young men standing on a bridge passed a comment on me. Me and my husband confronted them. They walked away, realizing they were in the wrong, and the matter seemed settled. However, shortly after, a group of 8–10 young men returned and started hurling abuse asking how we dared speak to "people from their village" that way. A scuffle broke out, and they even tried to block our path. We eventually managed to drive off, but they chased us, cut us off further down the road, smashed our car windows, with metal rods. They pursued us for a good 20–30 kilometers, trying to attack us the whole time; they didn't stop chasing us until we had passed the toll plaza.”

'Dhamaal 4' actor Anjali Anand says her body type often got her roles before talent did. "Every opportunity that I have got has always first cast me for my body, then they have seen that she can do more things (referring to her talent) and then they (makers) have given me a different part. Untag was my first part, and it was given to me because of my body, it was later that I got a better part with Raat Jawan Hai and Dabba Cartel. If I don’t do ‘Dhamaal 4’, I’ll sit at home. It’s not that if I sit at home someone will write a ₹100 crore film for me, that is not going to happen. So, why would I lose that opportunity to be part of a film and it's on me how I play the part. Maybe I'll do it (lose weight) as I’ve to run my house. I don't think it's necessary for me to do so right now. If I can inspire one or two girls along the way to just see that it is possible (to work without losing weight), then why not do it?"
