FBI New York is reminding the public to leave your drones at home. The government has established Temporary Flight Restrictions around World Cup stadiums, fan festivals, and other event locations - including tomorrow's ticker-tape parade. Flying a drone in these areas is strictly prohibited. Always check airspace restrictions using FAA-approved B4UFLY apps or visit before you fly a drone. If you notice unlawful drone activity, report it immediately by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI.

The New York Field Office worked with our federal, state, and local partners to help keep our communities safe this year resulting in more than 1,800 arrests, nearly 500 sentencings, 460 convictions, 400 indictments, and has seized nearly $574 million in forfeitures. The office surged resources during two nationwide initiatives orchestrated to drive the violent crime rate down across the country: 🚨During Operation Summer Heat, FBI New York conducted more than 470 arrests, 81 convictions and sentencings, and seized nearly 100 drugs and weapons. 🚨To round out the year, our agents and NYPD Task Force Officers conducted more than 60 arrests, seized nearly a dozen illegal firearms, and recovered a substantial amount of cocaine, fentanyl, and meth as a part of Operation Coast to Coast. As we move into 2026, the FBI will continue to prioritize crushing violent crime, defending the homeland, rebuilding public trust, and fostering organizational accountability.
