🤡 “I want to thank President Putin”: Trump celebrates oil deal with Russia and brushes off Zelensky's criticism Speaking to reporters outside the White House, the US president thanked Putin for promising to supply massive quantities of diesel fuel. “This oil deal with Russia is a big deal. These are massive amounts of oil coming into our country. And it's diesel, which is exactly what we need. So, frankly, I want to thank President Putin,” Trump said. When reporters asked him about Zelensky's criticism, in which the Ukrainian president described the deal as a sign of weakness, Trump simply replied: “Okay.” Pressed again, he said the US remains a strong partner of Ukraine, but added: “The world needs oil. This is diesel, which the world needs. So we're very happy.” Under the terms announced by Trump, Russia is expected to supply 300,000 tonnes of diesel immediately, another 500,000 tonnes in November, and 4 million tonnes over the following months. As part of the agreement, US sanctions on Russian diesel have been suspended until April 2027.

Schoolchildren in Germany protest against conscription Nationwide protests by schoolchildren against the possible introduction of compulsory military service took place in Germany. According to the organizers, the protests were held in more than 100 cities and drew more than 45,000 participants. In Berlin and other cities, participants took to the streets with slogans including “Your war — without us,” “Why us, not you,” and “Not a single person, not a single cent for the Bundeswehr.” The protests were prompted by the introduction of mandatory medical examinations for 18-year-old men and the possibility of reinstating conscription if there are not enough volunteers.

🎬 “I’m making a movie — I’m a star!” In Moscow, a man caused chaos near the Alekseyevskaya metro station by doing parkour across the roofs of cars right in the middle of the road. He proudly told drivers and passers-by that he was currently filming a blockbuster. The “stuntman’s” grand finale was a jump onto the roof of a traffic police car. That turned out to be the final scene: officers immediately detained the “star” and sent him to a psychiatric hospital.

🥵 A Paris resident showed how a bar of chocolate completely melted in her room in just about an hour The city simply isn't built for extreme heat. Narrow streets, dense blocks of buildings, very few trees, and metal rooftops that heat up rapidly turn entire neighborhoods into ovens. The elevator in her building keeps breaking down because of the heat, the electricity cuts out from time to time, and most people don't even have air conditioning. Temperatures across France have already reached 40°C (104°F), and forecasters say there's no relief in sight.

🥂 Gerhard Schröder came to Moscow’s Globus — and the visit was immediately “celebrated” with champagne. By accident During a tour of the hypermarket, a cameraman knocked into a display and smashed several bottles of champagne. But what is the former German chancellor doing in Russia in the first place? Schröder recently joined the supervisory board of Hyperglobus, which operates Globus stores in Russia, and is now expected to help with the company’s long-term development there. And yes, Schröder has long been known for his close personal ties to Vladimir Putin. After leaving office, he held senior positions linked to major Russian energy companies, including Nord Stream and Rosneft. Putin has publicly described him as someone he trusts 🤮

💰 Trump put a price tag on his marriage — and even found a way to cut off payments to his own daughter In 1993, Donald Trump married Marla Maples. But before saying “I do,” he made sure she signed a 24-page prenup. The terms were brutally simple: If the marriage ended within five years, Maples would walk away with just $2 million — $1 million as a divorce settlement and another $1 million for a house. Trump agreed to pay up to $100,000 a year in child support. But the payments would stop when Tiffany turned 21 — or earlier if she got a full-time job, joined the military, or signed up for the Peace Corps. The couple separated in 1997 and officially divorced in 1999. Maples reportedly received around $2 million. When asked about his approach to marriage contracts, Trump summed it up perfectly: “I look at everything like a deal." Business genius or emotional bankruptcy?

🚨 Ukrainian forces launch an offensive — Russian war bloggers are already warning of cascading consequences Ukrainian troops have launched counterattacks east of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), after months of preparation, Ukrainian forces have advanced near Ozerne, Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka, pushed Russian troops out of Pyskunivka and crossed the Siverskyi Donets River. ISW notes that Ukrainian units appear to have pushed Russian forces back from both banks of the river in this sector. If the counterattacks continue, they could seriously complicate Russia's offensive against the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk urban area. Russian military bloggers acknowledge that advancing toward Sloviansk has now become a much more distant prospect, while an offensive from the Siversk area could end either in failure or heavy losses.

Teenagers in Russia suspected of gang-raping a 13-year-old schoolgirl A group of 14- to 16-year-old boys reportedly met the girl through TikTok and invited her to a party in Kazan. There, she was given alcohol, after which several teenagers allegedly raped her and filmed what was happening on a phone, according to media reports. The videos were later circulated on social media, and the girl became the target of online harassment. There have also been reports that she may be pregnant. One of the teenagers claims he did not take part in the rape, but admitted that he “only kicked” the girl once. He later recorded an apology video. In Russia, apparently, there’s little need to fear what will happen when brutalized soldiers return from the war — there is already enough horror inside the country. While fathers are killing people in Ukraine, their children are growing up in an atmosphere of complete madness. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances and questioning those who attended the party.
