The CBS introduction for Tennessee’s game against Vanderbilt at Neyland Stadium on Nov. 26, 1983. Lindsey Nelson, the co-founder of the Vol Network 35 years earlier, was on the call alongside former Alabama quarterback Scott Hunter. The Vols won, 34-24.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Clinging to a two-point lead and looking to avoid a penalty on a field goal attempt, Phillip Fulmer burned a timeout on fourth-and-1 with 6:25 left against South Carolina in 2002. Tennessee opted to go for it, instead. Casey Clausen delivered with a 5-yard touchdown run—the final score in the Vols’ 18-10 win over the Gamecocks at Williams-Bruce Stadium. It was the 100th win of Fulmer’s coaching career.

PASADENA, Calif. (Sept. 9, 1989) — Sterl The Pearl® opened the way for Tennessee’s 24-6 win over No. 6 UCLA with a 2-yard touchdown run at the Rose Bowl. It was the Vols’ first-ever score at the Rose Bowl. They were shut out twice there by Southern Cal in 1940 and 1945.
