Bucs coach Todd Bowles has not yet met with the Glazer family about his future but said “I’ve earned the chance. I’ve won three straight division titles so that says at lot as far as I’m concerned.”

Bucs arrive at the NY Giants training complex across from MetLife Stadium for practice. The NY Jets bailed on a second day of joint practices, something that apparently was agreed to in March. So the Giants graciously offered their practice field.

Baker Mayfield says he’s very disappointed the Bucs didn’t extend his contract and he was serious about the deadline. He addressed the team. He says he knows his value.

Baker Mayfield says contract talks are not close and once training camp starts, “They know all the talking stops,” and he will focus on the regular season.

Ted Hurst says his brother is hard on him about “What’s my why?” which allows him to finish practice hard. Hurst’s older brother who played for Valdosta State is Darrell Myers Jr.. Darrell was a wide receiver on the Blazers' 2018 Division II National Championship team.
