Loving how Foghorn's a meme now. Here's my fav and the perfect example of his rants. Endless jabbering, pushing with his hands, shoving with his belly, then acting like YOU'RE the windbag... Brilliant! Let's thank Robert McKimson for creating this great chicken. Rooster, that is!

Man it's always so fun to watch the original pre-1990s versions of these characters

"That's All Folks" from last night's LA premiere of the new Looney Tunes movie THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP. Gorgeous animation, hilarious, emotion and heart (!!), WEIRD (in a GOOD way!), with a packed, totally pumped audience. Avery, Clampett and Jones would be proud. Perfection!

1993's "Son of the Pink Panther" is a totally forgotten movie today, but the animated opening credits are GREAT. Such fun animation! Movies sadly don't do cartoon opening credit sequences anymore, but I've always loved them. I could post more, what are some others you like?

While my favorite CG movie is Cloudy/Meatballs, the 2012 Looney Tunes shorts are my fav CG animation EVER, Daffy's Rhapsody being the best. Everything is perfect. Mel Blanc as Daffy, Billy West as Elmer, and the best squash n stretch classically CARTOONY CGI I've ever seen!

It's a bummer that movies don't really do animated opening credit sequences anymore. I've been posting some this past week, make sure to check them out! Here's another: By Lynne Naylor, John K and the Spumco crew, it's the intro for 1989's "Troop Beverly Hills"

Oh my lord I cannot believe these are real promos. I just learned that in the mid 2000s Disney marketing added farts and belches to ads of 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book and Lady and the Tramp releasing on DVD. These are like YT poops, but.. they're REAL...

There are a LOT of cartoons to feature Little Red Riding Hood... but this one right here, by Friz Freleng. This one's the best. A dorky tone-deaf obnoxious teen bobby-soxxer is such a funny route to take Red. Her scenes in "Little Red Riding Rabbit" make me laugh every time

MOAR animated opening credit sequences! (and check out the others I've posted over this week!) This time: A very Betty Boop inspired intro for 1987's "Who's That Girl" starring Madonna. Once again, nothing special about the film itself while the cartoon intro is the best part!

Look I LOVE Bill and Joe, but it's kinda crazy how much Hanna-Barbera plagiarized stuff back then. We all know Flintstones = Honeymooners, Yogi Bear = Art Carney etc. But how about the Season 1 Flintstones theme apeing the Bugs Bunny Show theme?? Give a listen- what do you think?

Finding a parking spot at Cartoon Network Studios can be tough. This one played ALL the time- probably the most popular of all the classic promos. (Back to posting great promos from CN's heyday! Check my page for a bunch of others over the past couple weeks!)

My group of 5 pals and I saw THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP last night, and I'm happy to report it was a PACKED theater, with a tremendous energy in our audience. Everyone laughing the whole film! So happy to see that 90 years later, these characters are still entertaining us.

Cartoon Network had so many killer promos back in the day. Here's "Wile E.'s Suspect Lineup"

Another Cartoon Network promo, this time a 2002 In Memoriam for Chuck Jones. I've always thought this was such a beautiful little tribute, especially with the "Dot and the Line" music. (Check out more great Cartoon Network promos I've been sharing, I'm gonna post a bunch more!)
