Jack Evans “Ode to Blitzkrieg” April 2004

Lucky Gordon with one of the cooler moves I’ve seen in a minute. Back in February 1988.

This AHII/Voodoo Mask finish is just as nasty as I remembered it from 20 years back.

Caring, professional & deeply passionate person. He was leaving Dragon Gate to a whole new environment in Tampa. Great send-off.

Madusa vs Luna at Slamboree 97

Magazines detailed newcomer Sid Vicious breaking Jamie Dundee’s neck with the “Japanese sleeper/Cobra hold” for months back in 1988 - but I never saw the footage until this week. Early Sid was very easy to hype up as a wrecking machine - this was nasty.

DG in KBS Hall in 2011 Awesome aesthetic

1995 - 1997 Eddy & Rey Jr Two of the absolute best ever. Made magic every match.

The HDNET era of ROH was fun. Went to so many of those Philly tapings. It wasn’t the same ROH we’d loved from 02-08 … but there was some quality stuff to be found on those shows.

Alex Shelley with his patented FaceF*ck back in 2004 ROH.

Vader, Jesse White & Hama in his tribute Vader garb.

Luna ready for war in the ECW Arena (this was the awesome shrubbery era of the building)

2001-2004 Jack

Kamala’s weeble wobble sell at its finest. Kerry vs Kamala was always a good matchup.

Late-era AWA giving us Pat Tanaka vs Mr Saito

Wrestling 2 further establishes the danger of the Million Dollar kneelift. TA has yet to master it.

Barry/Arn 1993

Speed of Sounds! Every few years I remember this team & how fun they were in the late 2000s. Would have liked to have seen 2009 SoS vs 1997 PG-13.

93 Sid Vicious

PAC & Ricochet were on a different planet of pro wrestling in the early 2010s. Special stuff. Loved their feud.

And here’s some of the best of 2005 ROH

“Hey Ric …” Terry Funk steps away from the judges table post-Steamboat vs Flair & complete chaos soon would follow.

Hansen/Gordy vs Bulldogs June 1989

Found in the archives. Got to take a camera & film Shield & Big E’s 1st WrestleMania back in 2013 - but also track our NXT talents at Axxess. Bless PAC for feigning picking up his luggage for the video. He definitely stood out that weekend. Was proud to document it.

A memorable 1989 wrestling tv moment.

They were going over the finer points of executing a Superplex in class. PAC’s was obviously flawless. I was running around doing 100 things per usual, walked by & I heard “think Naylor could take a Superplex?!” Thanks for keeping me safe, Ben.

A tribute for PAC. To the tune of Prince’s “Purple Rain”

PAC & Big Brodie. So inter-connected. I remember 15 years ago - My first week in the office, I saw a dvd of this match on a pile & couldn’t get Doc & company to watch it fast enough. Would happily see Brodie arrive around 3 months later & Pac in summer of the next year iirc.

Between this angle & the Inoki match weeks prior - Vader had himself an amazing January 1996. “THAT’S GORILLA MONSOON!”

Victor Zangiev in UWFi

Duggan finally knocks down Andre & the crowd goes ballistic. Awesome match.

Mid South Coliseum punches in the 80s

PAC & TJ made pro wrestling magic. I feel this was one of the greatest singles bouts in NXT history. Everything meant something. Brilliant wrestlers & people.

TV faces of Mid South Wrestling in 1984

Lex, Sting, Rick and Scott SuperBrawl 91

1999 Nitro/Thunder Macho Man was fun to watch. IMO, it’s the closest he got to that 1984 unhinged Memphis era Savage. I liked that he brought his piledriver back after 15 years.

Vader vs Kakihara UWFi 3 minutes & 40 seconds. One of my favorite matches of the 90s.

Larry flying for Bruno like he’s Heenan in 86.

The Terry Funk interview that was aired on Worldwide after the attack footage was shown. Completely deranged & awesome. Set the table for the summer.
