People often imagine the world of Noah as small and primitive. But according to the lifespans recorded in Genesis, humanity had centuries to multiply before the flood. Some estimates suggest the population could have reached into the millions. Cities. Civilization. Generations of humanity spread across the earth. Genesis says God saw that the thoughts of mankind had become continually evil. This wasn’t random destruction from a cruel God, it was judgment on a world that had become completely corrupted. And Noah’s grandfather’s line stretches even closer. Because Genesis speaks of kinds, not every modern species we see today. Noah also wasn’t required to bring insects or marine life on board the ark. On top of that, many Ark researchers and biblical scholars believe the animals brought aboard were likely young animals, making them smaller, easier to manage, and requiring far less space and food. And when you compare the number of animals to the massive size of the Ark, the whole thing suddenly starts looking a lot more manageable than people assume.
