Noah’s Ark Scans Founder, Andrew Jones, was invited on to Pierce Morgan for what we were told was a friendly “interview”. Turns out, it was more like an ambush. However, the archeologist that Pierce brought on to debunk The Durupinar Site didn’t even realize that not only is the Durupinar site 300 cubits long, it’s also 50 cubits wide (85 feet). Andrew also then took down his claims that it’s just a giant rock and shape caused by mudflow. Andrew went head-to-head with the skeptics and shut them down. This just goes to show that most of the claims “debunking” the Durupinar site as the resting place of Noah’s Ark are actually the claims that have no scientific or accurate backing at all. In fact, it states that he was living in a tent near his vineyard. All of the ancient homes in this region are made from stone. In addition, Noah’s sons all moved away to restart civilization. Noah and his wife would not need that much lumber for housing and supplies. And last, God directed the ark to be coated inside and out with pitch in order to withstand a global catastrophic flood for a year. That ark was not coming apart easily, as pitch was known to become almost stone-like. It would have been more trouble than it was worth trying to pry it apart.

Gopher has officially gone underground. Our specially built subterranean drone just completed its first deployment at the Durupınar formation, entering through an access hole along the side of the formation. This little guy was built for a very specific job: exploring spaces that we can’t reach ourselves and giving the team a look at what’s happening below the surface. And for a first deployment, Gopher did a great job. There are a few modifications we want to make to improve his efficiency and maneuverability, so he’ll be heading back to the United States for some upgrades before his next mission. This is exactly what field research looks like, build it, test it, learn from it, improve it, and send it back in. Gopher’s first mission is complete. Next time, we go deeper. The whole point of building Gopher small enough to fit down these narrow holes was to give us a chance to see what’s happening below the surface where people simply can’t go. And on his second mission, he did a great job. Gopher made it down 12 meters, giving the team another look into the underground environment. Come spend a day at Durupınar with us. The drilling team had just reached about 4 meters down when they hit something hard. The drill can’t get through solid rock, so everything stops while they figure out what they’ve hit. Andrew takes a look, and it could be a piece of basalt, there are basalt boulders scattered around the site, but the team won’t know until they examine it properly. So they document it, label it, bag the sample and send it off for testing. The team is currently drilling in an area where some of the interesting subsurface features show up deeper down, around 7 meters. So we keep going. Meter by meter, sample by sample.

Today, Noah’s Ark Scans begins core drilling at the Durupinar boat-shaped formation, long studied as a possible Noah’s Ark site, under official Turkish permits. Core samples will be taken and the GOPHER drone sent in later this week to examine the interior. This is the first permitted study at the site, conducted with oversight and involvement of leading archaeologists and scientists. When we began this study, we promised to make the evidence irrefutable. The project is led by Turkish Professor of Archaeology Dr. Cenker Alita of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in partnership with Noah’s Ark Scans.
