A year ago today I was laying on a dirty floor in a prison in Mississippi listening to the election results on a Correctional Officers radio through the bottom of my cell door… My nerves were shot and I had a brief panic attack. Was he going to win? Was the rest of my life going to be spent in a concrete box? Is God listening to my family’s prayers? I cried with joy when I heard PA went red. I knew my suffering and that of my family was over. I knew God saw me on my knees praying to Jesus that night. We were vindicated. I WAS GOING HOME.
