She purchased bags of crayfish worth millions of naira at a time when the local selling price was only ₦5,000 per bag. She hoarded these stocks in a room for years to create artificial scarcity despite the economic hardship many Nigerians face. This deliberate hoarding was for her to manipulate prices, create artificial inflation, and sabotage the livelihoods of local Ilaje fishers and traders.
