.Rand Paul: I'll tell you a story I haven't told many people. I was with [Trump] at Dover Air Force Base when soldiers were coming home. In the first administration. Soldiers had been killed in action. And, you know, people don't see this side of him, but it truly. He was moved, moved by the sadness of the situation, but also moved by... This is senseless. Why are we still there? Why are we in Afghanistan after 20 years? And he sincerely had this belief and I sincerely thought, this is not George W Bush. This is not. We're going everywhere to fight for freedom. We're going to liberate the world, and we'll perpetually be at war. This was someone who really saw the cost of war, and I think he truly believes that. But I don't understand how he's been so influenced by either Secretary Rubio or Lindsey Graham, but they have influenced him such that he's acting in a way contrary to what he used to say. Chuck Todd: Well the campaign trail in 2024 is littered with quotes from him and his surrogates saying, if you vote for Kamala Harris, that's a potential vote for a war with Iran. Rand Paul: Yeah, I don't get it. Download the Noosphere app to watch the full episode

Publicly, the Washington Post staff has “addressed Jeff Bezos, not Will Lewis. Why?” — Chuck Todd “Because it seems like he has the power to change it. It’s not my money, [Bezos] is where he is for a reason, but he’s got money and it’s like, if the money is the problem, why now? Former VP Mike Pence: "I'm a Republican and what I can imagine is the Republican Party returning to our roots because they have been a pathway, not just a political success, but those policies and practices created the longest peacetime expansion in American history, literally brought down the Soviet Union, saw Roe v. Wade sent to the ash heap of history where it belongs and on and on and on and established the greatest military in the history of the world."
