In my emotional era…

Shorts

There's many things to say about Portugal, but the most confusing one is that all trash ladies are hot. No one knows why, but it is so.

I love this, lol. Guy makes "non-commital noises" to mirror and validate the kids he works with when they show him something while avoiding any judgement about what they're showing

Shocked at this video of Chris Barber with his kid because the kid goes through the emotion SO FAST. About as fast as I do since I started feeling lol. And it sparked this hypothesis: perhaps people are terrified of emotions because, somewhere in the dynasty, for some reason, someone didn't have the skills/context/privilege necessary to process something *fast*. So the idea was ingrained that when emotions come they stay a looooooooooong time. And if that is the case then any negative emotion is EXTREMELY BAD because it stays for soooooooo long. This would lead not just to you being avoidant of your own emotions but being avoidant of others' including your kids', hence replicating the pattern in a self-fulfilling prophecy sort of way! They don't get the necessary support to go through them quickly so they DO indeed take a long time to get over and thus having negative emotions IS indeed extremely bad!

One thing is to talk about the fact that "everyone becomes beautiful" but the other one is to directly experience it. And, imo, the best way to do so is Frank Yang closeups style of filming:

Girl finds a paper from the 90s that suggests lactose intolerance is a skill issue (not enough enzymes to digest it). Spams skimmed milk for two weeks and her lactose intolerance symptoms completely resolved.

I like this reel. And it highlights an interesting fact: most thinkable thoughts are not thinkable *yet*. Stepping stones have to be thought (or acted on!) before they can be thought too

I might be wrong, but I don't think I'm wrong. I think before video was subordinated to life and so actually capture it. But I think it reflexivity changed it and normal life is subordinated to video, even if no one is filming. Something was lost.
