I really can’t praise this show’s commitment to historical and linguistic accuracy enough, just found out they cast actual Mongolian sumo wrestlers to do the Mongolian dialogue in here. I thought they were going to switch back to Japanese long term after the episode opened with the Mongols speaking that, but nope, they’re committed to it, especially when it’s time to emphasize the cultural divide between the Persian locals and their invaders.
