American doctor volunteering in Gaza holds back tears as he provides a medical update after Israel bombed a UN school yesterday killing 17 and injuring more than 75, mostly women and children. “Ambulances bringing in people in pieces… women with their abdomens eviscerated … child after child after child with different extensive traumatic injuries…” “ If there’s any doubt from anybody, if medical aid is being allowed in - the answer is NO.” “As many amputees as there are from trauma, there are amputees from diabetes uncontrolled, because they’re not allowing insulin to be brought in” “ The total death toll is a severe undercount. It’s 5, 6 times the number because people are dying from treatable injuries … lack of medical supplies”
