Why is everyone pretending to be surprised with KWAM 1 and his irresponsible song? Men like him are too often given undeserved respect by greedy vultures who will chase wealth at any cost. Worse still, this reflects a deeper cultural malaise. While many parents fight with every fibre of their being to remain involved in their children's lives, this man, who aspired to become the Awujale of Ijebuland chooses instead to publicly mock his own offspring, a child who is simply a product of his own actions and recklessness.

During the campaign to elect Buhari as President, Abubakar Malami was a lawyer with relatively modest earnings. After Buhari appointed him as Attorney General and Minister of Justice, he and his family reportedly became multi.billionaires. How can anyone defend such unexplained wealth? To think he wasn't alone in the last government and we have new players in the current government.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not get it at all. He's so far removed and detached from the realities of at least 80% of the population he governs. You can't be screaming "reforms" "hard decisions" everyday, requesting for sacrifice whilst you don't demonstrate the need for it.

Video: Ibadan, Oyo State. Members of the APC have staged a protest over what they describe as the imposition of a governorship candidate. The aggrieved party members rejected the idea of a “consensus candidate” and insisted that the party leadership must conduct direct primaries to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.

🇳🇬📍I spent a little over three weeks in Nigeria for a strictly private visit and personal pilgrimage, and I’m still struggling to put it all into words. I wrote three different articles and deleted every single one. None of them felt honest enough. None of them could truly hold the weight of what everyday life looks like for ordinary people. So maybe all I can say is this: NIGERIANS ARE RESILIENT. Not because everything is fine, but because sometimes, that’s the only way to keep going. And yet, somehow, in the middle of it all, there is life. There is laughter. There is a kind of joy that refuses to disappear. If you have the means, and if you’re lucky enough to stay untouched by insecurity, Nigeria can feel like the most vibrant, most alive place in the world. And maybe that’s the contradiction that stays with me the most.
