Just found out that the highlighted "R" of March in mother oyster's calendar refers to the ancient traditional rule of eating oysters only in months with an "R" to manage health risks and flavor quality. The more you know 🦪

I like the idea that, without Hades to redirect them, they'd have kept walking in the opposite direction for months while constantly screaming "ZEUS !!!"

The lady in Tom and Jerry who is always partially seen is named 'Mammy Two Shoes'. This scene from the short 'Saturday Evening Puss' is the only time her face is shown.

Disney owes us a movie with Cinderella as a mom! 🥹 She has the biggest maternal instincts out of all the original princesses.

In many early disney narratives, scenes of cleaning are not incidental, they function as a form of visual shorthand. The association between domestic work and moral worth reflects older cultural ideals, where patience, diligence & self-sacrifice were considered defining virtues.

This prologue scene in Treasure Planet where Jim while solar surfing, cuts the engine and plummets always floors me because of how accurately it treats the physics of a free fall. The sheer sense of weight, speed, and genuine air resistance they managed to capture. The violent camera shake perfectly mimicking how you'd experience it in a real dive.
