Baba Oyinlola is one of those who will make people stop doing good without broadcasting it. How can you deny this in public? Thank God for whoever made this short video; otherwise, the ingrate Lagun would have completely vindicated himself with his lies. God bless you, Governor Adeleke. You did your part with a pure heart, in the proper way a gesture should be made in the eyes of God. God will reward you abundantly.

Accord Condemns Shooting of Member in Ila, Calls for Immediate Arrest of AIO and Damilare Otitola The Accord Party has condemned the shooting of its member, Yekini Omoiya Sango, popularly known as Y.K., at Sharp Corner, Iperin, Ila, on Friday, August 14, 2026, barely 24 hours before the Osun State governorship election. According to a statement from the party chairman, Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO) and Damilare Otitola, identified as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led a group of suspected thugs involved in the incident, accompanied by some police officers. The party maintains that firearms were discharged during the incident, targeting Yekini Omoiya Sango, an Accord Party member. The incident has generated serious concerns within the Accord Party, particularly because it occurred on the eve of an election in which political parties and their supporters are expected to participate peacefully and freely. Accord strongly condemns the use of firearms, intimidation, threats, and every form of political violence against its members or any other citizen exercising their democratic rights. The party calls on the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security authorities to immediately investigate the incident, establish the full circumstances surrounding the shooting, identify all individuals involved, and take appropriate legal action against anyone found culpable. Accord further demands that security personnel deployed for the August 15 governorship election remain professional, impartial, and committed to protecting every voter and political stakeholder, regardless of political affiliation. With Osun State going to the polls tomorrow, Accord urges its members and supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while exercising their constitutional rights. Democracy must never be governed by fear. The people of Osun deserve an election in which every citizen can participate freely, cast their ballot peacefully, and return home safely. The Accord Party therefore calls for peace, justice, professionalism, and accountability as Osun prepares for the August 15 governorship election. PRESS STATEMENT 24/07/2006 APC’s Desperate Plot to Discredit Adeleke’s Achievements Through Project Vandalism Must Be Stopped - OSUN ACCORD The Osun Accord has received credible reports of a disturbing pattern of vandalisation targeting public infrastructure delivered by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke. These acts are not ordinary criminal activities but appear to be part of a calculated attempt by desperate elements in the opposition APC to undermine and discredit the remarkable achievements of the current administration ahead of the forthcoming governorship election. Having failed to match the Governor’s impressive record of performance, these elements seem determined to destroy the very projects that are transforming communities across the state in order to create a false impression of government failure. These acts of sabotage is strongly condemned in the strongest terms and those behind them should know that public infrastructure belongs to the people of Osun State, not to any political party. The destruction of roads, public facilities, streetlights, and other government assets is an attack on the collective interest of our citizens and will not diminish the resolve of Governor Adeleke to continue delivering dividends of democracy to every part of the state. The security agencies is hereby called on to thoroughly investigate these incidents, identify those responsible regardless of their political affiliation, and ensure they face the full weight of the law. We hereby urge residents, community leaders, youth groups, and all well-meaning citizens to remain vigilant and take ownership of public assets by promptly reporting any suspicious activities around government projects to the appropriate security agencies. The people of Osun have witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development under Governor Ademola Adeleke, and no amount of politically motivated vandalism will erase these visible achievements or derail the administration’s commitment to building a more prosperous and secure state for all. As a ruling party in government, we will ensure proper surveillance of all our projects, including setting up a monitoring team while the ministry of Works has commenced inspection of the site to examine level of sabotage. Together, we must protect our common heritage from those who seek to sacrifice public interest for partisan political gain. Signed: Pastor Victor Akande Chairman, Osun Accord
