Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil is honestly very disappointing. I’m not saying this because I expected Leon, Ada or a bunch of game references. I don’t even play the games like that. I went into this wanting to see what Cregger could do with the material. And that’s what makes it so frustrating. The story feels incredibly simple, almost like a Tom and Jerry chase stretched into a feature-length movie. The protagonist has a clear goal, there’s a cure, and most of the plot basically revolves around trying to get from one point to another. The biggest problem is that the movie keeps leaning into comedy when the story needs more tension. Even one of the scientists who should have added weight to the situation is turned into comic relief. I was genuinely excited for this because I loved Barbarian and Weapons. I was completely willing to ignore all the pre-release negativity and let Cregger prove himself. Instead, this feels like his weakest movie by far. The comedy rarely lands, the character development feels forced, the jumpscares feel unnecessary, and underneath all of it is a pretty generic commercial horror movie. This was one of my most anticipated movies of 2026, so yeah... I really think Zach Cregger dropped the ball with Resident Evil.

The line, "Your mother must have been very beautiful," says so much. Rhaenys wasn't insulting the boys' mother, she was quietly acknowledging the painful truth. Corlys loved her, yet still found someone else beautiful enough to betray their marriage. Her disappointment was with him, never with the children.

This scene genuinely altered my brain chemistry. The way he stumbles back from the railing, completely stunned. The way he rushes down the stairs without even looking where he's going. The disbelief on his face when he realizes she's really standing there. And then that embrace... 😭 After years apart, finally seeing family again. It shattered my heart and put it back together in the same moment.

Bro, if we're being real and setting bias aside, there's no way Daemon is walking away from this alive. Daenerys is the greatest dragonrider we've seen. Her bond with Drogon is on another level. she's the only rider who doesn't even need a saddle to control her dragon. In a fight between the two, I just don't see Daemon standing a chance.
