We arrived at DCI Headquarters to present Oliver Jaoko (alias Olivetti) as previously directed. However, officers stated they were unaware of the directive and refused to receive him. Consequently, we presented him at Muthaiga Police Station. The police must remain impartial and take swift action to arrest the organizers and financiers of the violence unleashed against us in Homa Bay.

Today’s violent assault on Linda Mwananchi County Coordinator, Wakili Samwel Nyauke, his property, and innocent tenants in Homa Bay is a disgraceful display of lawlessness. Today, I led my team to the Senate in response to their summons. Once the session was adjourned, we were released, and I proceeded to Senator Edwin Sifuna’s office for a productive discussion regarding our planned "Linda Mwananchi" activities. It was encouraging to see the city remain calm as I walked to my office to address the media. It is time we recognize the significance of this day; Saba Saba ought to be a public holiday.

Last night, my heart broke speaking with my dedicated supporter, Kevin Dooso. Armed goons, accompanied by men believed to be police officers broke into his home, took away his phones and laptop, and brutally hacked him with a panga, leaving him for dead. Kevin’s only "crime" was having the courage to speak truth to power and stand by our cause. When speaking up for change puts a target on your back in your own home, we are sliding into dangerous lawlessness just as it began in the Caribbean island. This is an attack on all of us who dream of a better future. Please join me in keeping Kevin in your thoughts and prayers as he fights for his life. Contrary to the misreporting by Citizen TV Kenya , we did not leave the venue because we were "chased." We departed because the presiding Bishop and Seme MP James Nyikal had already left to proceed with the burial of his father. Our sole purpose for attending was to offer our condolences and stand in solidarity with the family. Remaining unbowed, we left the service and arrived safely at the airport to return to Nairobi. This travel is in preparation for the EALASCA Festival, which are scheduled to kick off in Mombasa on Monday, May 4th, 2026. I am proud to confirm that Siaya County will be participating in the upcoming events and I will be joining them as the Patron of KICOSCA. While at the airport, we enjoyed a warm reception and spent time engaging with the locals before boarding. The people of Kisumu are WANTAM, a spirit of hospitality and excellence that was clearly on display throughout the past weekend.
