Dear #Nigeria, this is what a Kenyan colleague, who is at the #OlympicGames posted in our group chat, after Favour Ofili’s 200m final: Favour Ofili went through the mixed zone crying, talked about how the last few days have been trying for her with all the saga around realising she was not registered in the 100m. The saddest thing about it was that Nigeria had no one to support her, that is a media officer's job. It was left upon Nigerian/Ghanain/Kenyan journalists to console her. Nigeria needs to do better. It broke my heart. Kenya had a similar situation with Faith Kipyegon yesterday but the Kenyan media officer was there to support her taking her away to a private area until she calmed down. #Nigerians, what say you?
