Today Tesla FSD unequivocally saved me and my fiancée from a major collision or worse. Green arrow to turn left and FSD starts to go then suddenly stops, I'm thinking why did you stop I hit the accelerator pedal, it breaks again at the same time a SUV barrels through the intersection running a red light. From my view In the car I never saw the vehicle. Had I been in any other vehicle and pressed the accelerator I have no doubt I would have been T- boned in my driver side door. This happens everyday and lives are lost. This technology saves lives. Thank you Tesla and Tesla_AI for keeping us safe anywhere we go. 2026 Model Y AWD on V14.3.6

Elon just clarified the plan for building the TERAFAB. The Advanced Technology Fab built at Giga Texas will not be “the TERAFAB.” It will be a smaller fab where they will iterate on chip designs. The TERAFAB wouldn’t even fit on the Giga Texas campus. Several sites for the TERAFAB are under consideration, and it will need thousands of acres and over 10 GW of power at full scale. My opinion: To put this in perspective, Tesla would need 2,000-5,000 acres for the entire TERAFAB lot. This would equal ~87-200 million square feet of available land space for power and battery backup with Megapacks, with ~20-60 million square feet of available space for the actual building. Just for reference, backing up a facility like this with a ~5-15 minute battery backup would require 168 Megapacks and it would for sure need its own power production such as natural gas turbines or maybe even its own dedicated power plant. After 2.5-3 hours, I’m ready to stretch my legs and use the restroom. Honestly, it’s better for you to do this anyway. You ONLY need to charge ENOUGH to get to the NEXT STOP. That’s the whole point of Supercharging. This is a very simple concept that somehow people have forgotten. Everyone knows it’s not the speed you charge, it’s your price per kWh that determines the cost. In this scenario, I only needed enough to get home. If I had a BYD and flash charged for 9 minutes, I would have spent the same amount of time and more money. I got home with 14% and am now charging for $0.04 per kWh. So how would flash charging have helped me here? It wouldn’t have, literally at all. Because both of us needed to go in to use the restroom and get a snack, which took about 9 minutes! Not saying charging can’t be improved, but it’s not an inconvenience 99% of the time with what we have now.
