Elon just clarified the plan for building the TERAFAB.... The Advanced Technology Fab built at Giga Texas will not be “the TERAFAB.” It will be a smaller fab where they will iterate on chip designs. The TERAFAB wouldn’t even fit on the Giga Texas campus. Several sites for the TERAFAB are under consideration, and it will need thousands of acres and over 10 GW of power at full scale. My opinion: To put this in perspective, Tesla would need 2,000-5,000 acres for the entire TERAFAB lot. This would equal ~87-200 million square feet of available land space for power and battery backup with Megapacks, with ~20-60 million square feet of available space for the actual building. Just for reference, backing up a facility like this with a ~5-15 minute battery backup would require 168 Megapacks and it would for sure need its own power production such as natural gas turbines or maybe even its own dedicated power plant. Tesla and SpaceX are about to need chips faster... than the world can produce. The answer? Terafab. A chip factory in Texas so huge it will dwarf landmarks like the Pentagon and Apple Park, with a goal of producing more than 1 terawatt of compute every year. The point is to stop future Tesla and SpaceX growth from being limited by whoever can supply them. Elon says Terafab will eventually be worth more than any other building on Earth. Turns out, the 3,000 Terafab jobs are just the... opening act. Elon says they’re only for phase 1 of a 10-phase build. With investment potentially passing $100 billion, Terafab is being built to make the huge number of chips Tesla and SpaceX expect to need for FSD, Cybercab, Optimus, Starlink and Starship. So yes, 3,000 jobs is a lot. It’s also just the beginning. Tesla @Optimus Starlink SpaceX / Writer: Annette, Grok Imagine Designer: Jannéshow more

Tesla’s new Megapack factory in Houston will be their... most capable yet, with an annual production capacity of 50 GWh—25% more than their other two Megapack factories. Once fully ramped, Tesla’s three Megafactories will produce a combined 130 GWh of battery energy storage a year, enough to power ~50 million homes. That's nearly 4.2x more battery energy storage than Tesla deployed in all of 2024. The Houston facility will be the first to manufacture the all-new Megapack 3 in late 2026. This product will partly source LFP cells from Tesla's brand new LFP manufacturing plant in Nevada (next to Giga Nevada). The Nevada facility will begin production in the coming months, making it the first time Tesla will produce and source LFP cells domestically — and from its own operations. Just weeks ago I considered this to be a... map of Superchargers. The foundation that made EV’s a going concern for the first time. But it’s not. These dots represent fully permitted and built power stations in an era where every AI player is trying to figure out how to get power for compute. This is the largest electrical power moat I’ve ever seen that can fully supply current and future charging needs while collecting and storing cheaper power during off-peak to supply an AI revolution. Elon doesn’t care who knows anymore. 2nd place is… crumbs. AWS was built from excess server space needed during peak demand. Now it’s bigger and more valuable than the core Amazon retail business. Tesla is about to drop a hardware smackdown right in the face of software engineers. AI prototypes are easy. Scaling is hard. If only Tesla had a factory pouring out millions of chips each year that are underutilized 95% of the time. Each with their own battery storage. Imagine that. Tesla could call them ‘cars’. And that power moat? It’s all fully upgradable. It’s primed to be tripled. Only a handful of Tesla charging stations currently have solar and/or Megapacks. For 14 years Tesla has permitted and built the gas stations of the future around the world. Everyone said it would fail. All of them were wrong. And now Tesla is in a process of creating a possible 10x value stamp on those stations that should have never been built. It makes you wonder, When a vehicle now leaves the Tesla factory; how do we even begin to calculate the economic production that it will generate during its lifetime? It’s a Robotaxi, energy storage, and a fully sealed/cooled compute processor. They may as well start shitting gold out of a tailpipe.show more

The 1st Tesla Cybercab at the Giga Texas crash... testing facility. Hard to say for sure, but this may indicate the vehicle has completed most of the final engineering & production tests out at Fremont and what remains is now at Giga Texas. If this follows how the Cybertruck proceeded, we are likely a month or two before we will see initial test runs of what will be the production version. This matches up with all the equipment deliveries and installation inside the factory that we have been monitoring over the past few months. Cybercab is getting close to existing IRL!show more

More Batteries vs. Submarines Now that the German TKMS... and the French Naval Group have massively adopted lithium-ion batteries, following the Japanese lead, this is consolidating as a major trend, just as I had predicted. The next stage will be solid-state batteries, and at that point, we'll essentially be discussing only speed and submerged endurance in comparison to nuclear submarines. Since solid-state batteries are lighter, they will allow for a greater number to be installed, freeing up space for more powerful propulsion systems. Naval Group has already sold a version of the Scorpène to Indonesia capable of remaining submerged for up to 80 days. That's with lithium-ion batteries. Imagine what this could exceed, more than double, with solid-state batteries. In practical terms, a more powerful engine combined with solid-state batteries in the proportions that Naval Group is now using in the Scorpène would provide three times the speed, meaning something like 10–15 knots at constant speed while maintaining around 50 days submerged. This would give a range of 40,000–50,000 km, requiring less than one hour on the surface for a fast recharge. For speeds above 25 knots, simply adding more batteries and a better engine would suffice, as the solid-state system has high power output. All this at 15–20% of the cost of a nuclear submarine. And if the choice is to power the batteries with a micro-reactor, it would cost 25–35% of a conventional nuclear one. Then someone will say: “But a nuclear sub can stay submerged for years.” That makes no difference at all, since even with around 60 days of endurance, the crew still needs to surface to resupply provisions. The big advantages remain: battery-powered subs are superior in silence, and speed can be addressed with larger battery packs.show more

Gov. Kathy Hochul just expanded the net on NYC’s... new second-home tax. It now starts at properties with a “market value” of $1 million or more (for the next two years) — it used to be for second homes starting at $5 million. Plus, there’s a new surcharge on all-cash home purchases over $1 million. This is part of Mayor Mamdani’s push to “tax the rich” and close the budget gap. Critics say it’ll speed up the wealthy exodus from NYC to lower-tax states. Will they just pay it and stay… or pack up for Florida/Texas? (Video: AI)show more

NEWS: Samsung is preparing to build a second chip... factory at its semiconductor cluster in Taylor, Texas. The first fab (below) is Samsung's new $25 billion chip fabrication facility that will help produce Tesla's future AI6 (HW6) chip. Samsung wants to expand and build a second chip fab as major U.S. tech companies line up to place their orders amid strained capacity at Taiwanese rival TSMC. The facility is a 40 minute drive from Tesla's Giga Texas factory. Last year, Tesla signed a $16.5 billion deal with Samsung to produce these AI6 chips, but Elon Musk says that number is "just the bare minimum. Actual output is likely to be several times higher." Various Tesla products such as their cars and their Optimus robot will use this AI6 chip. The first Samsung fab facility in Taylor is expected to be operational in 2026. 🚨 BREAKING: Secretary of State of Marco Rubio has... just stunned the world, launching a plan to DESTROY the International Criminal Court (ICC) threats to American sovereignty Marco just confirmed it: NO GLOBALIST JUDGE HAS ANY AUTHORITY OVER AMERICANS, "international law" has NO EFFECT in the USA 🇺🇸 "As we speak, the ICC and its friends are waging a war against our country, not with bullets or missiles, but with statutes and compacts and the force of so-called international law!" "They believe that they should be in charge of YOUR laws, of YOUR country, YOUR life, and they don't care whether or not you agree." "Halfway across the world, there's an institution that calls itself the International Criminal Court. Maybe you've heard of it, maybe you haven't. The chances are you don't know the names of its judges, of its prosecutors, or its president!" "It was a global tribunal staffed by unelected globalist bureaucrats who claimed their power is almost unlimited. The danger of this global court has only continued to grow." "It threatens every aspect of our political and legal system. Border Patrol agents removing violent criminals from our country, American Marines risking their lives to defend our homeland, prosecutors working to dismantle terrorist plots to attack and kill Americans." "If we stand idle, all of them would be at the mercy of foreign judges thousands of miles away facing the constant risk of prosecution and even imprisonment for the so-called crime of defending their own country." "The American people never agreed to any of this, and they never will. Read the words of our Declaration of Independence. We fought a revolution against a foreign power transporting us beyond seas to be tried for pretended offenses!" "Independence is our birthright. We will never let foreign bureaucrats take that away from us. This administration will not sit by as the ICC and its allies seek to threaten our people." "If they believe they can deprive us of our sovereignty, we will teach them the full meaning of American resolve." BASED.show more

🚨🇮🇷🇺🇸 Ground war against Iran is a real nightmare... for the US An expert on Iranian affairs, Vladimir Sazhin, breaks down why a US ground attack on Iran is a losing battle: 👇 1️⃣ The majority of Iran’s military consists of ground troops, all of whom are equipped with advanced weapons and military technology. 2️⃣ With a population of 93 million, Iran's army, including the IRGC, numbers between 600,000 and 900,000 personnel. 3️⃣ To launch a ground assault, the US would need around 400,000 troops, along with substantial equipment. 4️⃣ Given the need for millions of soldiers and additional resources, this campaign would be extremely costly, complex, and challenging—especially when faced with a large and well-equipped army defending its own territory.show more

Do we ask questions about the silence of the environment ministers, our senior ministers in the cabinet? Flew in from Mumbai today into Delhi and this is the difference. 🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷Bomb Iran's Power Plants? You Won't Stop a Single... Missile Not one. Here's why: 1️⃣ Iran's military doesn't need the grid. It runs on diesel and jet fuel — stored for months in hardened, off-grid depots. The military burns less than 5% of national diesel use. Even a total grid collapse leaves armored vehicles, missile launchers, and naval vessels moving. 2️⃣ Iran's most critical weapons have their own power Ballistic missiles use solid and liquid fuels produced in dispersed, bunkered facilities with independent power. Nuclear sites are heavily fortified with backup generators. The IRGC operates its own decentralized energy networks. So what would the attacks do? Kill civilians on a massive scale. Iran has 92 million people. Electricity runs hospital lights, water pumps, sewage treatment, and food refrigeration. No power means no water, no sewage, no surgeries. We have seen this before. In the 1991 Gulf War, US bombing of Iraq's power grid led to epidemics of typhoid, cholera, and gastroenteritis. An estimated 100,000 Iraqi civilians died from post-war health consequences. Child mortality more than tripled. The same would happen in Iran — only faster, given its larger, more urbanized population.show more
