What started off as a joke turned into something neither party would have wanted to escalate. But what’s becoming frustrating is how every situation involving Oyin seems to automatically end with her being labelled the bad guy, sometimes without even considering how the argument started. I’ll only clarify this once and keep it moving. Oyin was joking, and it was a type of joke that has gone around the house before. There was no malicious intent from her side. And one thing that should always be considered is family. You don’t involve someone’s family, especially the family they hold dear, unless the intention is to hurt them deeply. That is something Oyin would never do first. That doesn’t mean anyone’s feelings should be dismissed. But it’s also unfair to completely push the blame on Oyin simply because of the perception people already have of her. Oyin is not perfect. She can make mistakes and be held accountable when she does. But accountability should come from the full context, not from a predetermined idea that she must always be the villain. SAY NO TO FALSE TAGGING AND LABELLING. Calling someone a bully is not something to throw around loosely. It's a heavy label, and if it's wrong, it doesn't just misinform people, it assassinates a person's character. This needs to be cleared up now. Oyin's only "crime" was stepping up to lead the wager and keep the house from losing it. Abi, the actual HOH, ended up working against the very wager she was meant to protect, and Oyin still gave her time and respect before reacting. Temi then inserted herself into a matter that had nothing to do with her, and somehow that's how this false narrative started spreading and it then became a coordinated attempt by her fans to tarnish Oyin’s person and label her what she is not. Everyone else was winding down for the night. Oyin wasn't looking for trouble, she was just looking for sleep. Before you people run with your usual "Oyin is the problem" narrative, let's talk about what actually happened, from the very beginning. Practice had ended, and the house had mostly settled for the night. Oyin came out to prepare her garden bed, the spot she's used since day one, and no one said a word about it. She stepped inside briefly, and in that time, Chimsom took her blanket while Gerard laughed. She came back out, couldn't find it, and even asked Sultex if he knew where it went. Still, she laid down to sleep. Then Chimsom walked over with his chair, sat talking near the bed, and eventually got up and started jumping directly on it while she was lying there. She packed her things and went inside. He then told her she won't be sleeping on that garden bed for as long as he's in the house. Then came the threat, to beat her, to make sure she leaves the house voluntarily or on a stretcher. As if that wasn't enough, we also watched Goddessa talk down on Oyin, belittling how she speaks, as if sounding "local" makes her any less than anyone else in that house. It's a sad reality in Nigeria, those without a silver spoon, or who don't speak with a certain accent, are so often treated as less than. That undertone, acting like she isn't on their level, is exactly the part people conveniently skip over. For those saying Oyin sleeps outside to copy someone, please rest. That habit didn't start today. She's explained before that she struggles with the cold and air conditioning, which is why she sometimes avoids anything that could trigger a reaction.
