🎆The façade of the Centre Pompidou lit up one last time before closing! In a breathtaking farewell “The Last Carnival,” artist Cai Guo-Qiang transformed the building’s iconic structure into a pyrotechnic mural, a spectacular fusion of art, architecture, and light celebrating the Pompidou’s legacy of creative experimentation. 📌Though the museum has now closed its doors, Because Beaubourg! invites visitors on October 24–25 for a final celebration. 📌The Zayed National Museum, designed by Foster + Partners, is the flagship project of Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island Cultural District. Conceived as a monument to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the museum integrates modern design with regional vernacular in a sculpted built mound that reflects the UAE’s desert landscape. Rising from this form are five aerodynamic steel towers, shaped to resemble falcon feathers, a nod to Sheikh Zayed’s passion for falconry, and engineered to function as solar thermal chimneys.
