Amendment 22: ‘No person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice.’” Steve Bannon: “President Trump is going to run for a third term, and President Trump is going to be elected again on the afternoon of January 20th, 2029.” Bill Maher: “I’m sorry to be… ‘No person,’ you would agree he’s a person, ‘shall be elected.’ He was elected, ‘to the office,’ that’s the office of the president, ‘more than twice.’ Twice is once and then another time.” Steve Bannon: “We have a team of people that are working every day in federal courts.” Bill Maher: “A team? How can a team do something about that? I don’t care if the team is 12 trillion people. The words are still the words.” Steve Bannon: “The interpretation of this is open for interpretation.” Steve Bannon is confident Trump can somehow get around the two-term limit and return to the White House in 2029. Bill Maher, on the other hand, isn’t buying the argument that the Constitution is somehow unclear. He reads the amendment out loud and keeps coming back to the same point: Trump has already been elected twice, so what exactly is there to interpret? Bannon says his team is already working on it and points to the long odds the MAGA movement has overcome before. Whether there’s actually a legal path to a third term is another question entirely, but Bannon clearly believes they can pull it off.

I know almost nothing about finance, so I’ve been trying to learn. My question is, can I live off part of this money, or do I need to get a significant job? Host: The good news is you have a monthly income for the next seven years, so you’ve got some time to reinvent yourself and figure out what you want to do with your life. You obviously don’t need $115,000 a month. Host: Figure out what you actually need. Maybe it’s $7,000 a month. Then take the rest and invest it every single month. A 61-year-old asks Dave Ramsey when he should start collecting Social Security. Dave’s answer is basically: it depends on how long you plan to live. Caller: I’m 61 years old and I keep getting these letters from Social Security asking me what I want to do. I’m still working, so I don’t really need the money right now. I’m trying to figure out when the best time is to take advantage of the program. Dave: Well, the trick to knowing when to take Social Security is knowing when you’re going to die. Once you’ve figured that out, then you can calculate it precisely. Obviously, the longer you live, the better it is mathematically to take it later because you’re going to get a bigger check for a longer period of time. Caller: I was actually intending to invest 100% of it. But then I found out I don’t get the full amount if I start early. Dave: Yeah, you don’t. The later you start whether it’s 62 all the way up to 70 the more you get each year. But you can run the numbers on the Social Security website. You can look at your situation and say, “Okay, if I take it at 66 or 67, I get this amount. If I take it at 62, I get this different amount.” Then compare the difference. If you take every dollar you receive from 62 to 66 and invest it in a good investment, the returns can potentially make up that difference over the rest of your life. So if you’re going to do what you said you’re going to do take the money early and invest it. it can make sense to start earlier. Now, taxes come into play because you’re still working. There are other factors you have to look at to figure out what you’re actually going to net. But the basic concept is that you may be able to earn a better return by taking the money earlier and investing it rather than waiting for the larger Social Security check. And there’s another thing. When you die, whatever is left in that investment account is part of your estate. When you die with Social Security, there’s nothing there to pass on. So personally i feel this is one of those situations where I think people automatically assume waiting is always the smarter move because the monthly Social Security check gets bigger. But if you’re 61, still working, don’t actually need the money and have the discipline to invest what you receive, I can understand why taking it earlier becomes an interesting option. The part I’d personally pay the most attention to is the difference between getting a bigger guaranteed check later versus having actual money invested in your own name that can potentially keep growing and can eventually be passed on. There’s no one answer that works for everybody though, because taxes, investment returns, your health, and how long you live can completely change the math.

A man worth $2 million refuses to get married without a prenup. His girlfriend says it makes her feel like he’s already planning for divorce. Now they’re questioning whether they should get married at all. Caller: My boyfriend and I have been dating for about a year, so we're speaking about marriage. And he had mentioned that he would never get married without a prenup. I've always been against the idea of a prenup. I do understand the logic behind them, and he's worth a lot more than I am financially. So, I just feel like if a man says that he won't get married without a prenup, it makes me feel like it's an unsafe marriage for me to enter into because he's planning for divorce basically or preparing for it if that makes sense. Host: Have you shared that with him? those exact words Caller: Yes Host: How did he respond? Caller: Well, he said that he feels like I'm being ungrateful because he would be willing to, you know, take on me and my two children and I shouldn't question him. Host: So, this is an act of charity for him and you shouldn’t ask for no more. He's already doing the most by letting you into his life. Caller: Well, i was pretty surprised when he said that and it was a little upsetting. I understand that money is important obviously but there are things that I value more than money. And there's no amount of money that would be worth a divorce to me or like dragging my children through a failed marriage and all of that. Host: Is this second marriage for both of you or one of you? Caller: It's a second marriage for me, And this is his first marriage. He's never been married. He has no children. Host: So how much more is he worth than you? Caller: I don't know exactly. The number that he gave me was two million. like between retirement and assets, savings, all of that. He says it wouldn't be fair if we were to get divorced. It wouldn't be fair for me to get half of everything he's worked for. And I understand the And I'm not saying I want half of everything. I'm saying i don't want to go into this marriage talking about divorce because I'm 36 years old and if I'm going to be getting divorced in 5 years, I'd rather not get married. Host: I think you guys are just missing each other communication wise and he has his reasons and you have your reasons and neither of you are getting to the root of it and understanding each other. Co-Host: it’s not necessarily wrong, for in his sake. I'm not going to say that he is wrong. But where I do think he's wrong and what what I get the ick about is the way he's responding to you in it and it makes you feel like he's valuing his money over you and that's how it feels.
