Quick update from a recent press conference held about the Stardust Racers incident. Along with the video of an interesting exchange about guidelines, I have other notes from that morning: • Attorney Crump says that their team of experts have the right to inspect Stardust Racers and were in recent talks with Universal prior to the coasters reopening. • Zavalas family and the attorney team found out about the reopening through the media and not Universal. • According to Crump, Kevin had ridden roller coasters “over 100 times” at Universal. • A letter from Kevin’s father alleges that after Kevin was given the transfer seat, it took team members 4 attempts to get the green light and they had to apply force on the restraint in order to get that green light. • Attorney Crump says Kevin did not loose consciousness while riding Stardust Racers. • Attorney Crump ripped up the letter from Karen Irwin in front of media and reiterated that Universals actions don’t match their words when it comes to safety being the forefront of everything they do. • The Zavala family and team of attorneys still suggest that even though the ride functioned as intended, it doesn’t mean that Stardust Racers is safe. 🎥: WKMG News 6 Orlando
