SUPPORT: Please support the ‘Fermanagh Gaels Against Genocide in Gaza’ walk from from Lissan to Brewster Park this Sunday, 19th October, at 10.30am🚶🏽♀️ Now, more than ever, we need to raise our voices and keep up the pressure to make sure humanitarian aid gets into Gaza, and that help reaches families living with the trauma and loss of a brutal genocide. The Palestinian people must be treated with dignity, humanity and have the right to shape their own future.

It was a real honour to deliver the Inaugural Lecture for Nursing at Queen’s University last week. I spoke about my journey from the ward to Westminster, and how the same qualities that serve you well as a nurse are just as essential in politics: empathy, courage, belief, resilience, and a deep understanding of people. My sincere thanks to Queen’s University for organising a fantastic evening, and to all who attended. A special thank you to the Permanent Secretary for Health Mike Farrar, Professor Kenda Crozier, Head of School, Professor Rita Devlin, Professor Michael Brown, Professor Martin Bradley, and many others for being there. It was wonderful to see so many colleagues and friends.
