● Recently, producer Mahmood Ali made a shocking claim about Govinda on a podcast. After the 1998 hit Dulhe Raja, Govinda signed Aankhon Se Goli Maare. Harmesh Malhotra built a crore rupee set in Shimla. Govinda never showed up and asked for it to be shifted to Mumbai. Floods destroyed everything on the way. A new set had to be built, but shooting still got delayed. The losses were so heavy that Harmesh died of a cardiac arrest in 2005. After his death, his wife walked barefoot every day from Juhu to Siddhivinayak, then to a dargah and a church. She prayed for only one thing Govinda’s ruin.
