Maeda is a one-off. CCV’s diagonal ball to him instantly put Rangers on the back foot. It was similar in that respect to Hart’s assist at Ibrox. Maeda’s superhuman return from injury has been huge to our title push.

If a 20-year-old came in from the academy, contributed 10 goals &amp; 12 assists, played 50 games, broke into the international team, won half-a-dozen MOTM awards, &amp; was pivotal in our European progress &amp; push for the treble, we’d all be rating him at £25m.

Straight from Belfast to the ACSOM Fanzone at BAaD this afternoon. Seeing Neil Lennon raising the arm of Martin O’Neill in victory was a fitting end to a quite remarkable season.

I’ve been asked several times this season what the Martin O’Neill Effect is. Winning 83% of the available points despite all the chaos and dysfunction surrounding the club. He’s kept us in this title fight. It’s that simple.

Rangers are the form team. Hearts have been the most consistent across the season. Celtic are still in it due to Martin O’Neill.

At a club riddled with self-harm, chaos &amp; dysfunction, Martin O’Neill has emerged as a unifying force of nature. No other figure could have dragged us kicking &amp; screaming back into this title race - twice! Never underestimate the Martin O’Neill Effect.

I joined Don Riddell (what a host) on CNN World Sport to discuss Celtic’s incredible league title win. This wasn’t long after the game and I’d been on ultra capo duties at the ACSOM Fanzone earlier, so please excuse the hoarse voice.
