Today, 48 trees, host to migratory cranes, were felled for a redevelopment project in Wadala. Troubled residents of the area have approached the Tree Authority. Utterly deplorable how Mumbai's environmental wealth is being plundered by its politicians. Look at the birds. 😥

Would you call this tree-trimming, माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC? Horticulture experts have advised your staff to reduce the canopy to 25% ONLY every year, and create a canopy for balance. These trees won't stand a chance in the monsoon. At least, think about the countless beings dependent upon them!
