Michael Block is kind of fascinating. He has a vibe about him that seems genuine. Also his USA shave looks even better in person. He has a great, confident swing. I left the Scioto CC range thinking yeah, I like this guy. And when he teed off moments ago on No. 1 to begin his second round at the U.S. Senior Open? All the players on the practice green stopped to watch. Major champions, double-digit win champions, all of em. Pretty wild stuff. Blockie is legit a rockstar.

I thought this was interesting at the U.S. Senior Open. Notah Begay changed his mind at the last moment on what club to hit (initially wood, then driver) on his first hole of the day, No. 10 at Scioto CC. No. 10 is one of the best par-4s on Scioto. Shorter drives leave a blind tee shot. Longer drives can roll downhill into the rough or creek. Players develop a strategy and generally know the day before what club they’ll use off the tee here. He took a bogey to start the day.

Mizuno Pro M15 vs. Wilson Staff Model XB: Feel and Consistency I was so shocked by the Wilson XB I asked my fitter to also hit both of these. XB softer than M15? That’s only the beginning. XB consistency on good and average strikes was comparatively superior. The carry and total distances with XB was tighter and nearly “identical.” 👀 And wait til you hear what he has to say in the next video I post.
