Supplies of crude oil, LPG and Natural gas remain stable. Adequate stocks of petrol and diesel are available in the country and refineries are operating at optimum levels. Around 99% of LPG bookings are being made online, while 96% of deliveries are being completed through the Delivery Authentication Code system. ▪️Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0 was launched on 5th May 2026. Crude supply is adequate and refineries are operating at full capacity. Petrol pumps are functioning normally with no dry outs reported. PNG and CNG supplies continue at 100 percent. Commercial LPG users are being encouraged to shift to PNG through CGD companies with incentives and quick connections where networks exist. To curb hoarding and black marketing, states have activated control rooms and intensified raids while Oil Marketing Companies are conducting inspections. Due to the West Asia crisis, our imports have been affected, about 40% of crude, 90% of LPG, and nearly 65% of natural gas. However, every effort is being made to ensure a smooth domestic supply of petroleum products. Refinery #LPG production has been increased and is now reaching around 50,000 tonnes per day Regarding #PNG connections, 7.99 lakh connections have been gasified. About 2.87 lakh connections are ready for gas supply as infrastructure has already been created, and more than 8.27 lakh customers have registered for PNG connections. For domestic LPG cooking gas supply, about 1.72 crore cylinders have been delivered in the last four days against bookings of 1.66 crore, with 95% of deliveries completed with authentication codes. 🔹Panic booking and hoarding were triggered by misinformation. The average domestic #LPG delivery cycle remains around two and a half days 🔹Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system has been implemented to prevent the diversion. ▪️Two #LPG carriers carrying cargo for India safely crossed the #StraitofHormuz and are expected to reach Kandla and New Mangalore ports on May 16 and 18 respectively. ▪️Meanwhile, Indian vessel ‘Haji Ali’ sank after a fire following an attack in Omani waters. Let me make it clear that our fight was against terrorists and the infrastructure supporting them. That is exactly what we targeted, while ensuring there was no collateral damage. #Pakistan did not close its civil airspace despite launching a failed unprovoked drone and missile attack on 7th May at 08:30 hours in the evening. Pakistan is using civil airliners as a shield, knowing fully well that its attack on India would elicit a swift air defence response. This is not safe for the unsuspecting civil airliners including the international flights which were flying near IB between India and Pakistan The screenshot we just showed, it shows the data of the application flight radar 24 during a high air defence alert situation in the #Punjab sector. As you have seen, the airspace on the Indian side is absolutely devoid of civil air traffic due to our declared closure. ▪️There is adequate availability of petrol, diesel, #LPG, and #PNG in the country. To ensure this, the Government of India has taken several measures at multiple levels and continues to do so. Our refineries are operating normally, and crude inventories are sufficient. While most retail outlets are functioning normally, panic buying has been observed at some locations ▪️I would like to assure citizens that petrol and diesel are available in sufficient quantities. To ensure adequate availability in the domestic market and to keep prices from rising, Government of India has reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs. 10 ▪️Additionally, to maintain the availability of diesel in the domestic market, an export levy has also been imposed ▪️In the case of natural gas, 100% supply is being ensured for domestic consumers and #CNG transport, while around 80% supply is being ensured for industries connected to the grid -Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas #EnergySecurity Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas #MoPNG
