⚙️ I'm sharing fun GEARS OF WAR info until I get bored 😭 ✌️ 🤔 Did you know that ONE LOCUST was responsible for all the monsters you fight in Gears of War? 😭 ✊ Well that's UKKON... This locust general was the main antagonist of GEARS TACTICS. He's essentially a genetic "Mad Scientist" directly responsible for almost every biological nightmare you fight in the entire franchise! 🥲 So... Here is everything you need to know about his background, tactics, hierarchy, and... Uh... "Weird" personality: (Background) 🧬 The Secret Human Origin: Ukkon was originally a human child born in Tyrus who contracted "Rustlung" from early Imulsion exposure. Sent to the infamous New Hope Research Facility, he became "Patient Zero" for Dr. Niles Samson’s (Claptrap in Gears 5 lol) horrific genetic experiments! Injected with concentrated Imulsion and Hollow creature DNA, he was transformed into one of the very first Sires (enemies in Gears 2). However, UKKON was a complete anomaly. Unlike the feral, mindless Sires, he retained his genius-level human intellect and speech, while gaining biological immortality through hyper-accelerated healing. (Locust Hierarchy) 🪱 The Monster Maker: As one of the oldest entities in the Horde, UKKON sat directly on the Locust Council as the undisputed leader of the "Locust Science Division", answering only to Queen Myrrah. While heavy hitters like RAAM and SKORGE led troops onto the battlefield, UKKON was the mastermind who basically built the army. Working out of his private laboratory in Mount Kadar, he is the geneticist who created the Brumak, Reaver, and Corpser. He even engineered the neural helmet technology used to enslave and control these massive Hollow beasts you've seen! (Battle Tactics) ☣️ Imulsion Overload: In combat, UKKON rarely relies on brute physical strength. Instead, his tactics revolve around technological superiority and chemical warfare. He creates Disciples and Zealots by forcibly injecting his own soldiers with pure Imulsion to grant them explosive power and increased combat abilities. Because of his own fast-regeneration abilities, he plays a dangerous game of attrition... making him nearly impossible to kill without a specialized cytostatic gas to shut down his healing factor. (Personality) 🧠 The Calculated Madman: UKKON completely lacks the primal, raging bloodlust seen in most Locust. He is very well-spoken, sophisticated, and articulate. However, beneath that calm demeanor lies a deranged mind. He looks at everyone... including humans, Hollow beasts, and his fellow Locust, as nothing more than test subjects to be cut open, mutated, and weaponized for the ultimate glory of the Horde! #Halo Wars 2 created a villain SO BALLER... ...that 343 realized they screwed up by introducing him in an RTS 343 even tried to jam him into Halo Infinite! Of course... Most people didn't GAF as they didn't want to play a spin-off RTS first 😅 Atriox was an OG-Tier villain!

This scene always took me out 🫠 In GEARS OF WAR 3, Cole has a flashback / fantasy of the time he was a football (thrashball) player. He then runs a bomb into a stalk, swerving around lambent Epic Games really made the main black guy's "past identity" be the NFL lol Bruh 😭

🗣️ Opinion: My Marathon impressions are VERY mixed :/ Pros: - Gunplay is crisp! - Audio design is stellar! - UESC are a threat Cons: - The 2 maps available feel too small. I doubt 3 maps at launch will be enough content for $40. - Exfil points are very lame. - Too much camping.
