𝗠𝗜𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝟱’𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻. The complete stage brings together avionics, feed system, RCS, and the primary and secondary structures - all developed and manufactured in-house by PLD Space. Next up 🔜 EMC testing abroad. Once completed, the entire second stage will return to our facilities for engine integration, in preparation for a static test at our test facilities in Teruel. This is what true vertical integration and a test-like-you-fly approach look like. One more step closer towards MIURA 5’s first test flight in 2026 🚀

🔴MIURA 5 Progress Update now live! MIURA 5 is rapidly coming together, with tangible progress across manufacturing, integration, testing and launch infrastructure. All of our team is taking part in the path towards flight readiness: • Manufacturing and integration of the two first MIURA 5 qualification units (QM1 & QM2) in record time to validate the complete subsystem before flight unit production. • Parallel qualification test campaigns, successfully ongoing across all launch vehicle components, from engines to avionics, from software to GNC algorithms. • Ground Support Equipment is being manufactured in Spain and will soon undergo on-site testing, while civil works at our launch complex at CSG (Kourou) moves forward simultaneously. ✅ Successful Burst Test of MIURA 5 Stage 1 LOX Tank. We've successfully completed the burst test of the stage 1 LOX tank for the MIURA 5. This milestone validates the structural performance of the tank under cryogenic temperature and extreme pressure conditions, and paves the way for full stage tank integrated qualification model, including all elements needed for flight. This is how we build Europe's most reliable rocket: MIURA 5 🚀 At our state-of-the-art facility, we manufacture all metallic structures of our launch vehicle and its TEPREL-C family engines (including combustion chambers and turbopumps). Where we combine proven industry technologies with years of heritage and cutting-edge processes like metal additive manufacturing and laser welding. Robust end-to-end process management, with quality control integrated into each step, ensures that all engineering models reach our test benches in Teruel exactly as designed. There, we test and use the results to rapidly iterate and improve manufacturing until every subsystem is qualified. Our team has started test campaigns on TEPREL-C throttle capabilities to enable future Stage 1 re-entry control. This effort includes testing materials, engine components, and operational sequences to ensure MIURA 5 can perform powered re-entry retro-propulsive manoeuvre prior to landing. These test campaigns have been developed in collaboration with ESA’s FLPP framework contracts and will be progressively implemented in upcoming MIURA 5 flights.
