This old man turned 16 last month (idk exact date because “someone” stole his papers. Anyhow, that’s about 104 in dog years. He’s survived a car hit, rat poison, a stroke, and too many adventures. Better late than never. Happy birthday, Beau. You’re the best boy.

This is the direct result of the BS climate initiatives and green energy scam. Our tax dollars paid for this to happen. Looks pretty “green” to me. Let’s keep paying big dairy to come to SD and build methane digesters!

McCook Lake. About 45 miles south of me. The Big Sioux River crested there about 8 this morning and is starting to slowly go down. I heard it hit 45 feet, was forecast to hit 42 feet.. and idk what all time record was before

Well, 🥨 buys corn reels when your corn blows over, and Uncle Sonny sends out orphans to pick up corn off the ground, but Syngenta US couldn’t even give a discount on seed to me (a 15+ year 💯 customer), so I switched to conventional corn from local, regional, and small firms.

Rolled back the clock a LOT of years today. 2-4D on corn after brown silk, with a hi-cycle sprayer. Glad I only have a short quarter to do.

Finished my corn then headed back north to help a good friend and neighbor with his last and worst 80. The Maya outperformed his Drago with reel, IMO. He was off a half dozen times unplugging and I stayed in the seat. Hope to finish him tomorrow and call it a season.

Big fat sale at Yankton tomorrow. True price discovery. Hope it sets a good pace for the direct business later this week!

Closure on the most miserable crop of my life, today. Partial closure on some other shitty stuff, too. Guess I live to fight another day.
