Let’s revisit the worst day of my entire life, August 11th of 2023. I had asked my husband for a divorce. 10 days later — 4 days after my birthday — I got home from a red eye flight. When I opened the door, my dead dog’s ashes were spread all over the floor, covered in bleach.

What We Do in the Shadows (2014) is genuinely one of my favorite comedies but finding out they hired a friend to be IT on the set and tricked him into being the main character with no idea right up until the dude saw himself on a poster at Sundance is diabolical.

Found an AI perspective I’d never heard before from a teacher of teens. It’s a bit meandering but your three minutes will be well used.

You think it’s better to work 40 hours a week and spend another 5 commuting and another 5 showering + getting ready for work every single week than make a few sexy videos in lingerie? If given the opportunity, you’d do “the right thing” and “save yourself” for a dude? LOL okay.

I hope one day to meet the person who made the original toonami and adult swim bumps that basically lead to the popularization of lofi hiphop as we know it. So much of modern American culture came from adult swim and toonami; it’s genuinely insane to think about.

Unfortunately domestic abuse does not end with the abuser leaving or dying. Hit the three dots in the corner of my first post and select “view hidden comments”; you’ll see that abusive men and women flock to survivors of abuse. If you choose to share your story, take care.

The fact that Tony Gilroy even got to write a Vader line feels really special to me and you can tell Tony took it seriously. Tony isn’t a Star Wars fan but he’s a REVERED professional writer and part of that comes from giving audiences incredible moments. Every moment of this scene is absolutely cool as fuck and even people who don’t like Star Wars are going to feel hype about it because it’s also HILARIOUS. Darth Vader is a drama queen. If you really want to get technical about the lore, Anakin stopped emotionally developing at age 22 and it makes Darth Vader hilarious. Every moment of this is what a 22 year old would do if a girl broke his heart. It’s exactly what a badass villain should be — spooky is the most important (which is why there’s SO MUCH spooky imagery and not as much dialogue) but he’s also smart and sometimes even charming. He’s the perfect villain and he needs to be treated with the proper gravitas. Actually — he needs to be treated with MORE gravitas because he’s also a supervillain icon and a true blueprint. As much gravitas as you think he needs, Gilroy gives him just a LITTLE more. Because he’s Darth fucking Vader, baby. This scene alone can make almost anyone enjoy Rogue One because it’s fucking hilarious. Tony Gilroy killed it. 10/10 my second favorite Star Wars moment ever. Incredible respect for an iconic villain.

The reason I don’t get Botox anymore is because I’m worried it’ll make my face muscles weak and lead to premature drooping. I also love the way my face expresses emotion and I don’t care about forehead lines. It’s just such a bad trade-off only to look weird regardless.
