Get nothing done, you’re still gonna get paid the same that day. Versus a day where you really do work really hard and get a lot of sh*t done, not the same in trading. If you do 1, 2, 3 PROPER sets for a given muscle group per week…it’s probably not going to grow If you do 4, 5, 6, 7 PROPER sets for a given muscle group per week…it’s probably going to grow at a solid rate If you do 8, 9, 10+ PROPER sets for a given muscle group per week…it’s probably going to grow as fast as possible Trouble is, you cannot prescribe 8, 9, 10 sets for EVERY muscle group because there is a cap on the TOTAL amount of work you can do Thus, you can opt to program for balanced development all at once OR you can prioritize/deprioritize muscle groups for a period and then shift that over time

But hard work is really important, and for decades I would work 60 hours a week. I would work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.” He continues: “I had a little thing in the back of my head where I was almost jealous of some of the programmers who would do these marathon sessions. Part of me was always a little bothered that wasn’t me. I wouldn’t program 20 hours straight because I’m falling apart and not being very effective after 12 hours . . . There are people who can work on 4 hours of sleep and continue to do good work, but there’s a lot of people who just fall apart.
