experiment with a memory system that keeps rewriting itself: a hopfield network remembers an alphabet. as memories decay, it begins to hallucinate glyphs it was never taught - forgetting becomes a way of inventing.

~ memory is a flock of birds ~ i built a hopfield network and taught it the alphabet - then watched it remember in real time by adjusting the temperature. no neuron has the whole picture. the memory is distributed across every neuron’s connections.

i minted my first nft collection as a full-time artist. the work is built from a hopfield network, one of the most fundamental forms of neural network. it learns different writing systems, then begins to forget them. as its memories decay, it starts producing glyphs it was never taught.

i want to grow my ideas like a garden. a conceptual prototype inspired by this thread of tweets.

can ai agents invent writing on their own? recent pet project: 2 agents share a world but each sees only half. their only communication: 7×7 pixel glyphs. they develop symbols, build theories of meaning, and evaluate their own writing. no convergence yet but fascinating to watch!

trying to use topological data analysis to map the shape of my x bookmarks through mapper + embedding extraction and generated 3 views: - density: where attention keeps gravitating - pca: the dominant axes of variation - centroid: center vs edge (typical -> outlier)

all my obsidian notes are now a living, digital garden 🌿🌸 each plant is a notes from a tag: older ones on the trunk, newer ones as leaves. i wanted to create a sense of tending your garden, so scrubbing the timeline lets you watch your notes grow chronologically.

what does ai actually add to open-ended creative work? my first attempt at giving it a process signature: from a real project's transcripts i pulled 146 ideation events; the cubes are the moments ai forked the ideas open, laid along a 3d chronological trace of the sessions.

exploring shapes of thoughts: extracted my obsidian notes' embeddings and arranges them as a 3d network using 3 different topologies: - centralized: one core idea connecting all - decentralized: notes cluster into themed hubs - distributed: edges labeled by llm describing how ideas connect
