35 years ago, Poland and Germany signed the Treaty on Good Neighbourhood and Friendly Cooperation. The foundation of our relations lies in close ties between our societies and in economic cooperation. During the session, PISM also presented its report: White Paper on Russian Acts of Sabotage and Subversion against Members of the Council of the Baltic Sea States. 📄 Sabotage, attacks on critical infrastructure, satellite signal interference, and cognitive operations are just some of the Russian hybrid activities targeting the Baltic Sea region. 85 years ago, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union organised a joint military parade in occupied Brest-on-the-Bug. For the next 6 years, Poland suffered total occupation, full of mass executions and deportations. Today, we remember those who bravely fought against the occupiers.

🏅 The “Pro Dignitate Humana” Award, established in 2011 by the Deputy PM, FM Radosław Sikorski 🇵🇱🇪🇺, is granted for the uncompromising defense of the rights of persecuted individuals and for respect for human dignity. In 2025, the laureate was Nujeen Mustafa – a Syrian activist who, after fleeing war-torn Syria to Germany, began international advocacy for the rights of persons with disabilities and refugees.
