The YouTuber Who Released Cha Gawon's Voice Recording Defends Baekhyun. “The only part of Chairwoman Cha's story that appears to be true is that she did pay part of MC Mong's debt. Other than that, much of what she says in that recording doesn't match the facts I've confirmed. Some people may have thought that Baekhyun had some kind of weakness because of what she said, but based on the evidence I've reviewed, I don't believe that's a reasonable conclusion. Rather than focusing on Baekhyun, I think we need to look at the relationship between Chairwoman Cha and MC Mong themselves. That's where the answer lies. As I continued looking into this, I obtained records showing that Chairwoman Cha had already been spending a significant amount of money on MC Mong. She bought him expensive gifts, paid various expenses on his behalf, and there were financial transactions between the two that went far beyond what the public was aware of. When you look at those records, it becomes difficult to believe that she paid off MC Mong's debt simply because Baekhyun asked her to. In my view, those payments are much more consistent with the financial relationship that already existed between Chairwoman Cha and MC Mong. That's why I don't think it's appropriate to connect the payment of MC Mong's debt to Baekhyun. Now, could Baekhyun have said that he no longer wanted to be associated with MC Mong? Yes, I think that's entirely possible. Given the circumstances at the time, that wouldn't be strange at all. But that's a completely separate issue from saying that Chairwoman Cha paid off MC Mong's debt because of Baekhyun. Why bring Baekhyun into this matter? Looking at the evidence I've reviewed, I find it very difficult to accept Chairwoman Cha's explanation as it is. The records point much more strongly to the conclusion that she made those payments because of her own relationship and financial dealings with MC Mong, not because Baekhyun asked her to. That's why I don't think Baekhyun should be tied to this issue.”
