In Pardubice, Czech Republic, a group of pro-Palestinian activists from an unknown organization called Earthquake Faction set fire to a manufacturing facility belonging to L.P.P., a company that produces drones for Ukraine. The activists claim that this is a “production site for Israeli weapons,” which is, of course, nonsense. LPP signed a memorandum years ago with the Israeli company Elbit Systems to manufacture drones in the event that the Czech Army ordered them. Which did not happen. Given that no one knows anything about the Earthquake Faction, their website was launched this week, the company manufactured primarily for Ukraine, and Russia has a history of several terrorist attacks, acts of sabotage, and attempted ones, in Czechia, I can’t help but say that this seems suspicious to me, to say the least. In any case, I hope the perpetrators are caught, whether they are pro-Palestinian activists or Russians, and that they are charged and sentenced to a long prison term for a terrorist attack. The secret services are already looking into the case.

🇨🇿#Czechia: Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic (HZS ČR, Záchranný útvar HZS ČR) practiced building a temporary bridge using four AM-70 EX bridge laying vehicles based on a Tatra Force 8x8 chassis. A single bridge section spans up to 12.5 meters, and by connecting eight sections, a bridge up to 106 meters long can be created. The structure with a width of 3.5 meters allows for the safe passage of wheeled vehicles weighing up to 73 tons or tracked vehicles weighing up to 63.5 tons. HZS purchased four AM-70 EX bridge vehicles based on experience from the 2024 floods, when the Excalibur Army (EXCALIBUR ARMY) provided them with an AM-70 EX to bridge the river at the site of the destroyed bridge, and when this vehicle proved very effective.

🇨🇿#Czechia: Demonstration of the MRSI (Multiple round simultaneous impact) capability of the EXCALIBUR ARMY’s 155mm/L45 DITA self-propelled gun howitzer. Thanks to the high level of automation, the howitzer crew consists of only two soldiers, with an emergency station for a third crewman in the turret. DITA is built on the Tatra 815 chassis and weighs 29 tonnes. The range is 39km and the sustained fire rate is 5 rounds per minute. Series production for specific customers started this year.

In the video, the Senior Officer of the self-propelled artillery battery praises the howitzer. The armored cabin, automation and FCS received positive reviews. The DITA is operated by a crew of three, but only two are needed for its full operation. Typically, the howitzer conducts fire missions from concealed and camouflaged positions and dugouts. Interestingly, about three additional soldiers are required for drone defense, with the specific task of neutralizing any approaching UAVs.

The DITA is a wheeled self-propelled howitzer based on the Tatra 815 8x8 chassis. It uses a 155mm gun with a barrel length of 45 calibers providing a firing range of up to 39km with HE BB shells. A total of 15 howitzers have been purchased for Ukraine by the 🇳🇱#Netherlands, 9 in February 2024 and another 6 in October 2024.
